StardustMC is a new Towny survival server that is about to open and it looks really chill.
The server is focused on enhanced survival and has a player based economy so you make money and trade with other players instead of everything coming from plugins.
Their main goal is to have a happy and friendly community so it feels relaxed and not super sweaty. It sounds good if you want to just vibe with other players.

This is an 18 plus whitelist Java server that feels like a big friend group. There are usually around 5 to 20 people online in a day and the community is about 100 players.
The server is a Hermitcraft style SMP with a diamond based economy and a main shopping district. There are public builds and big projects that people work on together. Most players use proximity chat so it feels like you are actually hanging out while you play.
There are homes and player warps and some extra cosmetic and quality of life plugins. New plugins get added from community requests and polls. The idea is to stay close to vanilla Minecraft while still growing the server in ways the players choose.

Ordinary SMP is a vanilla Java survival server that feels like a small friendly town. It is whitelisted so people who join really want to be there and respect each other.

Spugunke is a new community first SMP that is just starting up so players who join now can help shape the world and the whole vibe of the server.
The server is about player made towns and teams. Anyone can start or join a town or a group. People work together on bases farms and big projects. Some teams might like pvp or exploring or getting lots of resources. Solo players can still do their own thing and just chill.

This is an Earth SMP where everyone loves to build cool stuff and chill together. The world is a scaled down version of the real map so you can pick a spot on the globe and start a city town or some giant project.
There are already big builds like a modern city that feels like NYC with skyscrapers and some older European style towns. There is still a lot of open land if you want to start something new from scratch or just expand what other players started.

MCVerse is a survival server that is made for long term play. The world is meant to last for years so you can work on huge builds and projects without worrying about a reset. The main focus is classic survival grind with a no grief style.
The gameplay is almost fully vanilla. There are no custom items no custom enchants and no skill plugins. There are some teleports and small quality of life features. You can also use building tools like armor stands mini blocks and decorative heads.

This is a creative city building server that feels like a big ongoing project. The world has a huge custom terrain map and everyone is focused on building cool cities and locations together.
The main idea is citybuild and worldbuilding. After a short application you can get access to world edit and other helpful commands so you can really show what you can do. You can claim land and see it marked on the live map so your builds actually feel like part of the world.
