HomesteadCraft is an adult only server for players who are 21 or older. It is a chill survival world with no map resets and the same map has been running for around four years. Because the map never wipes you can find huge builds and long term projects everywhere.
The server runs Java 1.21.8 and uses a few quality of life plugins. There is one player sleep and normal difficulty. You can use Aura skills and Acuteloot plus there is protection against griefing with claims.
There are special resource worlds for the overworld the nether and the end. These reset every week so the main world does not get destroyed. Most plugins can be toggled off if you do not like them.
The community is small and relaxed and there is no required playtime. There is a player run shopping district and even a gaming island so people can hang out together and have fun.

This is a Christmas themed Minecraft server that uses Towny on a giant 1 to 500 scale map of the North Pole. The whole server is about building towns and nations and doing diplomacy instead of fighting.
There is no war and no wilderness pvp so you do not have to worry about getting killed and losing your stuff while you explore or build. The server is really focused on staying peaceful and keeping the community nice. They are hard against griefing and toxic players so it feels pretty safe.

Iperios is a survival style server where people build nations and fight for power. It is all about geopolitics and McMMO so you train skills and go to war for land and wealth and rare enchants.
On this server players can create their own nation from scratch. You can choose your own government and make your own laws and ranks. If you do not want to lead you can just join a nation that is already made and help it grow.
There are special resource camps that nations can conquer. When your nation holds these camps they give you important geopolitical resources. You use these to expand your territory and build more stuff for your nation. There is a full list of what you can make on their discord and the staff is active and helpful.
The server uses plugins like McMMO for skills and CrazyEnchants for custom enchants. It also has Dynmap so you can see the world map and GriefPrevention to protect builds and SilkSpawner to move spawners. Essentials is there for basic commands.
To join you have to get whitelisted first. When you join a staff member will guide you and give you a starter kit so you are not lost at the beginning. Then you can go find a nation or create your own and start your journey.

Chilltown SMP is a small server that feels really friendly and super relaxed. The players like to adventure and build together so it feels like a cozy world where people actually talk and help each other.

Createverse SMP is a modded Java survival server that is all about the Create mod and exploring a fresh world.
The world has totally changed terrain in all three dimensions. There are lots of new biomes and structures that still feel close to vanilla so it feels familiar but new at the same time. There are also a bunch of Create addons and some extra mods to mess around with.
The server is still pretty new so there is not a lot of progress yet. That makes it feel like you are joining at the start of a brand new adventure and not just catching up to people who are already stacked.

Beauty in Blocks is a small modded SMP with a really pretty world. The terrain is made using Terralith and Tectonic and there are extra biomes and dimensions so exploring actually feels fresh.
When you first join you get a guide book that explains the important mods and what they change. The book even links to the mod wikis so it is easy to learn what is going on without needing to search everything yourself.
The server runs a land claim system called Flan. You start with some claim blocks and you earn more as you spend time on the server. Claims cover the surface and go down so you do not hit random invisible walls under bases.

Nation States is a new Minecraft server that is all about building nations and doing politics between players. It is semi vanilla and uses a towny style claiming system so players can make towns and bigger nations.
The theme is early antiquity and the world is a custom map that is about 5k by 5k in size. The server wants players to focus on roleplay lore and conflicts. You are meant to play like your nation is real and act in character.
