GF-Free Fun Time!
Book Club, Boundaries, Communication, couples, DATING, friend time, Fun, GFFree, girls time, Girls trip, group outings, hang out, Honesty, Inclusivity, LGBTQ, prioritizing friendships, quality time, Respect, serious relationship, third wheel, Time, Understanding, uninviteWelcome to our Minecraft server, where we have a “block club” where we mostly mine for diamonds and slightly discuss our building techniques. It’s mainly to hang out and see each other as we are all busy crafting in our virtual world. Of the 4 of us (all blockheads), 3 have pet wolves and one was a lone wanderer for the longest time. They have recently tamed a llama and have invited it to our block club hangout to meet us. I was completely fine with it and enjoyed meeting the llama and very happy for my friend to have a new companion, as this is their first pet in several Minecraft days. Now, I hang out with this friend significantly less since they got the llama, which I understand priorities shift, however now when we do meet up for block club the past three times they bring their llama. The llama doesn’t even mine for diamonds, so it’s kind of moved away from block club and more just a scheduled hangout. Now these typical “block dates” seem very third wheel. This was always just an us thing and the wolves never came, but because they have a llama, the llama comes as “one of the blocks”.
We mentioned building a giant castle in our block club chat (which the llama is not a member of) and we thought it would be really fun. Now I’m finding out that the llama would come too. It feels hypocritical to have the llama invited but specified it be a “block trip”, which leaves out our pets but can include the llama.
I’m really happy my friend has a new pet they love, but I feel like it’s annoying to be with several friends and one pet. We were going to mine together today, and I just found out their llama was going to come with. Since I was going to talk to them in person about this castle, I asked that the llama not be included today so I could discuss this with my friend in private. They are now taking it very badly, so I explained on text that I’d still like to have block time, sans pets, like we have for years. They are upset I don’t see their llama as “one of the blocks”, when it’s not really about that, but more so, if we bring pets, why can’t I bring mine (a creeper) too?
Join our Minecraft server for some outrageous adventures and drama with pets and blocks!
