The Last Settlement is a mostly vanilla survival SMP that tries to keep things fair while still letting the world get messy.
There is a Civilized Lands area where PvP and griefing are turned off so you can build up without getting wiped. Mobs still spawn so it is not totally free.
If you go outside into the Wild then PvP and raiding are fully on for a real survival fight. There is player to player TPA plus a chest shop economy and a spawn market to help you get started. They also say there is no pay to win.
