New Haven is a geopolitical roleplay SMP where nations feel real because borders come from what players actually build. If you want world building and diplomacy and survival to matter this server is aiming for that.
There are no claim plugins for protection so land control is done through roads walls and houses. Nations grow in tiers and if you do not mark a border with real builds it counts as wilderness.
Random griefing and stealing gets rolled back fast with CoreProtect so your builds do not just get erased. Wars are declared and then you can do real sieges and even occupy cities since there are no invisible barriers. New nations get a 72 hour grace period to set up.
Seasons change every few real life days and temperature is part of survival. Winter can freeze water and crops only grow indoors so you need leather armor or campfires to not freeze.
The lore calendar is compressed so 1 real life week equals 1 lore year and New Years Day is every monday. The world border is 2000 by 2000 to keep people close and the Nether and End are locked for now. Combat has a knockout state that lasts 1 minute so friends can revive you and keep inventory is off and players drop heads on final death. Simple Voice Chat is encouraged and BreweryX lets you brew and age drinks and the server supports both Java and Bedrock players.
