Foggy Willows is a server for people who want Minecraft without any extra stuff. It runs on the normal vanilla jar with no plugins and no datapacks. Everything is just how the game was made.
The world is in hard mode so mobs hit really hard and you have to actually think before you run around at night. There is no teleport and no sethome so you travel by walking boats and nether tunnels if you make them.
There is no fancy spawn with walls of signs. You basically get dropped in and you figure things out yourself. Players are expected to handle their own drama and solve their own problems. You play how you want and build what you want.

This is a vanilla survival server that is made to last for years and not just short seasons. The world is meant to be long term and people can find each others bases and build anywhere.

Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy server that tries to feel like real vanilla survival with almost no rules. It launched on October 11th 2024 and it runs all the time on a host in New York City.
You can join on Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.10 and they say 1.21.10 works best. The world border is huge at 2 million blocks so there is tons of space to run far away and build or hide. There are no map resets so what you do stays in the world.
The server allows griefing and PvP everywhere. There is no teleporting except a simple spawn command so people far from others are not stuck alone forever. There is also no pay to win at all. Nether roof is allowed. Phantoms are removed so nights are less annoying and only half the players online have to sleep to skip the night.
There are still a few rules so it is not total chaos. Things like exploits lag machines and duping are not allowed. Spamming and harassment and racial slurs in chat are also not allowed. So you can fight and raid and play rough but you still have to act a bit normal in chat.

I found this modded server called Iperios and it is all about making nations. You can start your own nation and choose how it is run. You make your own government and your own laws and your own ranks. If that sounds like too much work you can just join someone else and help their nation grow.
The server runs the Allthemods10 modpack on version 5.3.1 so you need that to play. You have to join the server discord first and ask to get whitelisted. Then you read the new player info to get the IP and some basic tips.
