Eclipsia SMP is a modded Minecraft server that runs on version 1.20.1. It has a small but growing community and feels really cozy and relaxed.
The server is built around exploring new places and using magic. There are dungeons to find and modded bosses to fight so it feels like an adventure world instead of just normal survival.

This is a Hermitcraft inspired SMP that just started season 3 and it feels really fresh and fun.
The server uses Simple Voice Chat so people can talk in game without having to leave Minecraft. There is Audio Player so you can use custom music discs and goat horns. They also use Carpet to add stuff like renewable deepslate and player bots so you can AFK farms.
There are cool cosmetic things like Tool Trims and custom model support plus a server side skin system so you can change your skin with a command. Image2Map lets players turn pictures into maps which is really good for art and signs.
The server has a bunch of datapacks. There are more mob heads and player head drops. Elytra trims and armor statues let people decorate more. Silence Mobs lets you quiet mobs with a nametag. There are smaller blocks in the stonecutter and wood can be used in the stonecutter too.
Recipe tweaks let you change things like dropper to dispenser universal dyeing sandstone dyeing and downcraftable nether wart and ice. Blaze and Caves advancement pack adds over 1000 new advancements so there is always something to work on.
From what I can see this server is for players who like long term survival and building up a world together with a lot of small quality of life changes instead of crazy mods.

This server is called SurviveWithUs and it is a semi vanilla SMP that feels like old school Minecraft. It focuses a lot on quality of life and still keeps the normal game vibe so it does not try to be some crazy plugin server.
The community is small but really close. Some of the players have known each other for years since around 2019. The whole idea is to make a warm and friendly place to play where everyone can hang out and actually know each other.
Players help with big decisions for the server and there is a place where people can suggest what they want added. Most of the plugins are custom made so the owners can change stuff pretty fast when the community asks for it.
The server was made to bring back an older community that got abandoned before. The people who loved it came back and started everything over again to recreate the server they remember.

Ordinary SMP is a vanilla Java survival server that feels like a small friendly world. It is whitelisted so people who join actually want to play and be respectful.
The server stays up to date and right now it runs on Minecraft 1.21.11. It is about building exploring and just hanging out with other players who like to work on cool projects together.

LanderYT SMP is a semi vanilla server that feels a lot like Hermitcraft. The world is already six months old and it resets once every year so builds have time to grow and feel important.
The server is focused on being friendly. Griefing and killing other players are not allowed. There is a small staff team that tries to keep peace on the server and on the discord and they listen to what the community says.
There are a few tweaks to keep it fun but still close to normal Minecraft. There is a custom texture pack with things like shop permits custom hats and custom weapons but they only change how stuff looks and do not add extra powers. The only teleport command you can use is spawn in the overworld so people make roads and highways instead of just warping everywhere.
They use a bunch of datapacks that Hermitcraft uses like single player sleep player heads armor statues and some others. Discord chat and Minecraft chat are linked so you can talk to people even when you are not online in game. CoreProtect is installed so staff can check for griefing and fix problems.

SpaceSMP is a survival server that is run from Australia and it is built for players who want a stable long term world. It feels close to vanilla and it focuses on community and fair play instead of pay to win stuff.
The server uses Fabric so the performance is better and the tps is stable. This means redstone players can make big machines and farms and the server can still run smooth for everyone.

GOOMB SMP is a vanilla survival server with an amplified world and it feels really active and close.
The world was reset only a few weeks ago so everyone is still building up their bases. There is a 6k by 6k world border so people end up building near each other or together which makes the server feel more alive.
The Discord is super busy with people advertising shops sharing screenshots of the crazy terrain and talking about trades and deals. Voice chats are usually full of players hanging out and planning what to build next.
The rules are pretty strict about being respectful. There is no racism no hate speech no NSFW stuff and people are asked to keep things drama free. Griefing stealing and unconsented PvP are not allowed so builds feel safe.

Crescenta is a worldbuilding Minecraft server where the world changes as players play. People make big civilizations and build history and explore new places so it feels like a huge story that never stops.
The server is on version 1.21.8 and it works on both Java and Bedrock so a lot of different players can join. There is Simple Voice Chat so people can actually talk in game which makes roleplay and big projects feel way more real.
One of the coolest things is the custom ancestry system. New players get pulled into the action fast and it is easier to make dynasties and family lines and other roleplay stuff. It makes your character feel like part of a big world instead of just some random person.
The world has custom generation that looks fresh and different so exploring is fun. They also have Bluemap so you can see the map in 3D on the web and check out builds and terrain.
There is a brewing plugin similar to Brewery where you can make drinks and even get drunk. Builds can be protected with a Citadel and NameLayer based reinforcement system so you do not lose everything you worked on.
The community is friendly and creative from what I saw. The server is not pay to win at all. It feels like a place where you are supposed to write your own story and really make it yours.
