Bordered is a Vanilla plus survival server on 1.20.1 and it just opened this week. It feels like a normal Minecraft world but with a few big twists that make it way more intense.
The world border starts small at 500 by 500 and it grows every time a new player joins. That makes the start feel crowded and dangerous then it slowly opens up as more people show up.
It also has an origins system with lots of custom picks and the owner is still taking suggestions. The big mode is lifesteal where killing a player takes one of their hearts and gives it to you. If you die to the environment you do not lose hearts so fights matter the most.
You can play however you want like a fighter builder or redstone engineer and just try to survive and get stronger.

Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy server that tries to feel like real vanilla survival but with almost no rules. It launched on October 11th 2024 and it runs all day and night.
You can join with a lot of different Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11. The owner recommends playing on 1.21.10 so you do not run into weird problems.
The world border is huge at 2 million blocks in each direction so there is tons of space to explore build and hide. There are no map resets so whatever you build or destroy stays there for the long run.
This server allows griefing and PvP and there is no pay to win at all. There is no teleporting either except for a simple spawn command so players really far away can return to civilization. Nether roof travel is allowed. Phantoms do not spawn and only about half the players online need to sleep to skip the night.
The rules are pretty light. Exploits lag machines duping and spamming are not allowed. Harassment and racial slurs in chat are also not allowed. Everything else inside normal gameplay is mostly fair game.

The rules are really light. Griefing is allowed and PvP is allowed. There is no pay to win and there are no map resets. There is also no teleporting like /home or random teleports. The only thing you can do that is not vanilla is use spawn so people who go really far out are not stuck alone forever.
The world border is set to two million blocks so there is a ton of space to explore and hide in. The server also lets you use the nether roof. Phantoms are removed which is nice and only about half the people on the server have to sleep to skip the night.
You can join on pretty much any Java version from 1.7.2 to 1.21.11. They say it is best to use version 1.21.10 so you do not have problems.

This is a modded Minecraft server that is all about building your own civilization and going to war if you want.
The server is called Adornment and it is a whitelist server so new players have to get approved first and also download the modpack to join.
On this server you can start your own civilization or join one that is already made. You can focus on farming and building up your town or you can fight in wars against other groups because PvP is allowed.
