The big thing here is the challenging bosses. When you beat them they drop keys and you can use those for rare loot.
There are crates with epic gear and rewards so you always have something to chase.
It also has chunk hoppers so you can automate your island and focus more on building fighting and looting. The server says it is no pay to win.
