You can pick a life path like police and respond to incidents or work in law as a lawyer or judge. You can join emergency services and help in high pressure moments. You can also be a worker or start a business and try to move up. Regular citizens can own property and build a name for themselves.

The city is kept busy on purpose with people out on the streets and services running. Actions have consequences and the server pushes structure and believable behavior.
