This server is a survival SMP that feels a lot like Hermitcraft. It is meant for people who like to build big bases and cool shops and work on community projects together.
The main twist is that it uses the Origins mod. So you still play normal survival but each player can have different abilities. It is not super crazy or anything. It just makes things more fun and different.
There are land claims so people cannot mess up your builds. There is also a planned spawn hub that is made for shops and events and other social stuff.

This is a new Minecraft server that is based on Earth and it is not out yet but it is coming soon.
The main idea is Towny style gameplay so people can make towns and grow them and keep building more and more. There are custom plugins that try to make the world feel fresh and different.

Back2Basics SMP is a semi vanilla survival server that feels like normal Minecraft but with a few tweaks to make life easier and more fair. It started in December 2023 and now has new ownership and a really community focused vibe. It runs versions from 1.9 up to 1.21 and higher but the newest version is recommended.
The server has a player driven economy where you buy sell and trade using in game currency. You can earn rewards through gameplay and voting so you do not need to spend real money to get cosmetics and perks. You can also trade with other players if you want something from the shop.
There are custom plugins that keep the game close to vanilla but add quality of life features. Keep inventory is turned on so if you die to mobs or other players you keep your gear. There is a random teleport command so you can quickly find a new place for a base. Land claiming is simple with its own custom claim system so you can protect your builds without a golden shovel.

This is a modded Minecraft server that is all about the Create mod and building cool stuff. The server is called Crafttomuck and it just started its fourth season. The main world is a survival SMP where players focus on building and hanging out together.
The community feels friendly and relaxed. People like to visit each others bases and work on a shopping and gaming district that keeps growing over time. This server is called Blockyard SMP and it is starting Season 2 with a full reset so everyone gets a fresh start. It is still mostly vanilla with no gameplay changing mods so it feels like regular Minecraft.
The cool part is the kingdom system. Everyone joins a team that acts like a guild and each team controls its own district in the main kingdom area. You work with your team to build and organize your part of the world.
There are different teams with different jobs. Explorers handle the nether hub nether highways roads outside the kingdom and finding structures like the End portal and ocean monuments. Architects build spawn shared buildings landmarks and the roads and paths inside the kingdom. Enchanters take care of all enchantments potions and organizing boss fights. Engineers make the farms redstone stuff and useful machines like storage and super smelters.
Projects have some rules so progression stays balanced. Small personal builds are allowed even in another team area if you get that team to approve it with a contract. Bigger builds and anything for the kingdom or server has to go through the right team and be team focused. Personal builds do not give points to the team.
Overall it feels like a cooperative SMP where everyone has a role and the server wants people who like working together on long term builds and shared projects.

Ordinary SMP is a survival server that feels like a small friendly town. It is a vanilla Java server and it runs on version 1.21.11 so it is always up to date.
The community is tight knit and pretty chill. People like to build together and work on big community projects. It is whitelisted so players are usually respectful and just want to hang out and have fun.

This is a small Modrinth server made for a group of friends. It is set up to use a specific seed that they found online and they are trying to get it to generate correctly.
The server has been restarted from scratch a few times while they follow different tutorials. The owner is still figuring things out and is asking for help to make the seed work.

Nova Network is opening a new SMP really soon and it looks different from the usual servers I see.
The server has custom mobs that make survival feel more intense. There are quests and daily quests so you always have something to do instead of just mining and building forever. You can level up skills and there is a custom battlepass and jobs so you can progress in a bunch of different ways.

EchelonMC is a custom survival server that tries to stay simple and feel like normal Minecraft. You do not need any mods or special client stuff. Everything works on a regular install so it feels really familiar and easy to get into.
The server focuses on survival and keeps the core gameplay the same. Nothing feels super overpowered or crazy. Even Endermen cannot pick up blocks so your builds stay safe. Most systems are made to feel natural while you play instead of shoving menus in your face.
At spawn there are interactive NPCs that explain features and give you basic info. There is also a wilderness NPC that can teleport you to a random area if you just want to start fresh. The spawn hub is clean and gives you what you need when you first join.
