This is a server called Kronos SMP and it is a full Earth map in Minecraft. The map is scaled so the continents are still huge and the oceans actually matter when you travel. Everyone joins on a fresh Earth with no old empires and no ruined land so the world feels new.
The main idea is that you pick a real location on the map and claim it. You try to turn a small faction into a full nation. You can defend your land or try to take land from other players. Territory is real and when a war happens the borders can change so it is not just for show.
The server is all about geopolitics and strategy instead of just grinding. People make alliances start wars and sometimes backstab each other. Power comes from the land you hold and the people who follow you instead of kits or pay to win stuff. Admins say they do not play favorites.

The server runs Java Edition on version 1.20.1 and it says it has a strong host so it can handle a lot of players without lag. Once the map opens it is every player for themselves.
