Rhapsody was originally created in June of 2021 to connect LGBTQ+ individuals with a deep interest and appreciation for music, and has since spiraled into an incredible community experience. Find out what makes us stand out from other servers:
✦ Immaculate creativity. Members of our server consistently produce (and encourage the production of) inspiring structures, improve rhapsody with fantastic suggestions, and never fail to bring incredible ideas to light in-game and on discord. This remarkable creativity can be seen frequently in the form of server event entries, warps, and routinely within the #artwork channel in discord.
✦ Nostalgic atmosphere. Many facets of Rhapsody point to those belonging to the way many SMP servers operated in the past. We take great pride in the upkeep of a server reminiscent of a simpler time without the incentives to profit. Furthermore, server members get to enjoy the newer features of the game while experiencing several nods to the past in the form of custom biomes and structures that reflect the way many mods may have presented them during the golden age of modding, yet it is a server without any modification beyond plugins.
✦ Attentive staff & community. Many servers will make a claim on this one, but it’s unlikely that many foundations are as strong as Rhapsody’s. The staff of the server take great care in watching out for the community, keeping your best interests at heart and protecting them with great courtesy. While staff are always happy to assist, the community typically upholds rules and policies on their own with outstanding integrity.

Beyond the self-sustaining nature and humanity-restoring levels of integrity displayed in this server’s community, Rhapsody has some of the kindest and most intriguing members you will ever have the pleasure of interacting with. Over the years, the community has developed its very own rich social culture that involves a lovely combination of charming wit and sincere kindness towards others.
✦ Enhancements. Originally released to the public running forge (though still joinable with a vanilla client), Rhapsody has an extensive history of modifications and alterations to the vanilla experience. Following the first month of the server’s release in 2021, it has since been reworked as a paper server that features plugins instead of mods. Many of Rhapsody’s plugins and software are bespoke.
The server is currently running 1.20.4 Paper with a selection of plugins and various other modifications that will make your experience on Rhapsody unique and fun.
