This server is built around a tier based PvP system. If you kill players you gain tiers and when you die you lose tiers. Fights matter more because progress can be taken away.
It also has proximity voice chat so people can talk while they play. The vibe is friendly and active and it is story driven with alliances and betrayal.
There are no land claims so trust and politics matter. The world is finite at 2500 by 2500 blocks so you actually run into people.
It is semi anarchy so a lot is allowed. Random griefing with no story or purpose can get rolled back to help keep the long term SMP narrative going.
