There is a big focus on player driven lore. Players can make their own stories and take part in events that bring everyone together. You can start your own city state stay peaceful or try to build up power. You can focus on building cool stuff or you can get into wars with other players.
Both pvp and building are important here. So if you like to fight or you just like to build you can do both and still fit in.
The realm is mostly vanilla with only a few small changes that make the base game features better. There are some rules but they are there to keep a good balance between freedom and fun so people do not ruin it for others.
