AVP SMP is a modded survival server for people who want to build big projects and actually keep them around. The world is meant for long term play and there are no resets planned so what you make stays.
The server is built around Create with lots of addons plus Immersive Engineering. It feels like you can start small then turn it into huge factories with real production lines and custom power setups.
The world is dangerous too. Xenomorphs can show up deep underground so you have to watch your back. Dinosaurs are not just everywhere since you have to use science and progression to bring them back. There is also space to explore with more risks.
The community seems chill and helpful and new people are welcomed. You can play solo or join groups. PvP is on but it is optional and not the main point.
It is whitelist only and they want players who respect others and plan to stick around. Version is 1.21.1 and the server is already started with 24 7 uptime.

I saw stuff like electricity and machinery plus moveable vehicles. There are also higher enchantment caps and a taller world height so building and gearing up feels more extra.

I found RevsMC and it is an 18 plus Minecraft Java SMP running the All The Mods 10 modpack. It feels like one of those servers where people actually plan to stay and build a real history over time.
The main idea is nations and groups. You can create or join a nation faction or clan and then build cities grow industry and push magic and tech progression. People also run shops set up trade networks and try to build their own economy.
Politics are a big part of it with alliances and rivalries depending on what players decide. Conflict exists but you do not have to be part of it.
PvP is opt in or opt out for players and nations so builders traders and explorers can play without being forced into fights. If groups do want conflict there is kill on sight between hostile parties and raiding is only allowed when both groups agree to raid each other.

This is a modded 1.20.1 server where the ground is not really safe and your real home is a combat airship you build yourself.
There are no land claims and almost no safe zones besides Spawn. It is open PvP so ambushes raids and surprise attacks can happen. The big rule is you cannot hit people while they are offline.
The modpack mixes tech and magic. You can build big automation with Create then take to the sky with Valkyrien Skies and Eureka for flying warships and fights. Ars Nouveau is there for magic builds and battle stuff. Alexs Caves adds risky exploring for rare loot. There is also a custom VS Shields mod that gives energy shields to help keep ships alive.
It also has over 500 quests that push you from early game tools to super dangerous weapons. Main language is English and Russian support is also in game and in chat.

I found a server built around a huge custom modpack that feels like a bigger All The Mons style setup. It mixes creature collecting with a lot of tech and a lot of magic so you can build machines and also mess around with spells.
There is a spawn area and some NPCs. Player shops are being worked on right now. The pack has tons of addons for different mods so there is always more stuff to build and chase.
The server owner just did a restart to fix issues and remove some overpowered mods. They want everyone to keep it respectful and just have fun with the people you meet.
You should have at least 16 GB of RAM. It is a big pack but it can run fine if you tweak your settings.
