This server is called RefinedVanilla and it is made for people who want real vanilla Minecraft with almost no rules. It is an anarchy style place so you can build destroy explore and experiment however you want. There are basically no rules except you cannot use hacked clients.
The server tries to stay as close as possible to how Mojang made the game. It uses Fabric so stuff like redstone TNT pistons and tick timings act like singleplayer. That makes it really good for technical players who care about how everything works and want their farms and redstone to behave the same as in their own worlds.
The owner set it up so the performance changes based on how many people are online. The server adjusts things like simulation distance mob caps and render distance to keep the game smooth. So even when more players join it still tries to run well.
There are some extra gameplay notes too. The nether roof is enabled so you can use it for travel. Chunk trailing has been patched. Portal chunkloaders still work but they unload when there are no players near the portal in either dimension.
If you want a place that feels like pure Minecraft and you do not need lots of rules or plugins this server looks like a good fit.
