Prosperia is a survival multiplayer server that feels like a long term world where you can actually settle down. The main world never resets so your base and projects are meant to be permanent.

Back2Basics SMP is a semi vanilla survival server that feels like normal Minecraft but with a few tweaks to make life easier and more fair. It started in December 2023 and now has new ownership and a really community focused vibe. It runs versions from 1.9 up to 1.21 and higher but the newest version is recommended.
The server has a player driven economy where you buy sell and trade using in game currency. You can earn rewards through gameplay and voting so you do not need to spend real money to get cosmetics and perks. You can also trade with other players if you want something from the shop.
There are custom plugins that keep the game close to vanilla but add quality of life features. Keep inventory is turned on so if you die to mobs or other players you keep your gear. There is a random teleport command so you can quickly find a new place for a base. Land claiming is simple with its own custom claim system so you can protect your builds without a golden shovel.
The server runs weekend events like build battles staff hunts and quests every Saturday and Sunday. These events give in game rewards and help people play together. The staff is active and online a lot and the community is friendly to both new and experienced players.

Hardcore SMP is a hardcore survival multiplayer server where you really have to think before you move. It is made for both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition so more people can play together.
The world does not reset and the server is non pay to win. There are no teleport commands to other players. You only get randomtp once plus home and spawn. That is it so traveling and exploring still feel real.
The economy is all about players. Coins come from killing mobs and looting chests. There are no normal item shops owned by the server. Instead players trade with each other using a trading system and an auction house so everything feels earned.
There is a big land claiming system. You can claim land for your base and farms so other players cannot grief your stuff. You can add trusted players to your claim so they can build with you. But if you die your claims get deleted and your land is not protected anymore so every death is a huge deal.
The only rank on the store is VIP and it is cosmetic only. It does not give gameplay advantages. There is also a revive that basically respawns you at spawn in survival again just like starting over on a new account.
If you want a hardcore world with no pay to win and almost vanilla rules but still some multiplayer features this server feels like a good place to try.
