Moshpit SMP is a competitive survival server with an economy and a lot of action. It is made for people who want competition and new stuff instead of the same old routine.
There are no land claims so you can build anywhere and raids can happen anywhere too. That makes the world feel risky and exciting.
It supports both Java and Bedrock. There are player shops plus an auction house and duels if you want fast money.
It also has custom enchants that are meant to be balanced like 3×3 drills and lifesteal. The terrain is custom but still feels like normal Minecraft.

The Pen MC is a classic prison server that feels like the older 2014 style. It is barebones and focused on grinding and surviving instead of getting overpowered fast.
You rank up from A to H and then you can reach Parole. After you max ranks you can prestige and you get to pick how you keep progressing. You can mine the classic way where you smelt ores yourself and you take risky trips through pvp zones to sell. You can also go for custom fishing for good money and rewards. There is a mob arena with waves and boss fights for people who want combat money and shards.
There is also a cookie farming bakery system where you farm wheat and cocoa then bake cookies with custom mechanics. It has long term cookie quests leaderboards and you can turn cookies into higher tier rewards.
The server has guards that enforce contraband rules plus illegal crops for high risk high reward. You can rent cells and plots use the auction house set bounties and deal with solitary confinement and parkour challenges. Premium stuff is not meant to be pay to win since everything you can buy can also be earned by playing.

Loop de Loop is a newer survival multiplayer server that is trying to build a real community. It runs on Java 1.21.11 and it is based in North America.
The big thing here is elemental races. You can pick Fire Air Earth or Water and each one has its own passive effects stat changes and specialty items. It makes normal survival feel different since your build starts the moment you choose a race.
The world is made to explore with custom generation using Terralith Nullscape and Structory so you will keep finding new biomes and structures. There are also custom mobs that feel like they belong in vanilla like Goblins and Haunted Armor plus tougher elite mobs with special abilities that drop extra resources. More minibosses and bosses are planned.
There is a full economy with a shop and auctions and you can spend currency on useful commands like workbench and disposal. Land claiming is included too using a gold shovel and you can get more claim blocks by voting and daily logins with a bonus on your first vote.
