Golden Nations is a survival server that feels like a big world politics game. Players make nations and fight over land with diplomacy war economy and raw survival. It is meant to be harsh and strategic not easy mode.
It runs on Minecraft 1.21.11 and you can join on any version because of ViaBackward. The world starts at 5000 by 5000 and it expands as more people play. There are no elytras so travel matters. There are also no villagers so you cannot spam infinite trades.
Progression is tougher with custom recipes and 1 to 1 netherite crafting. Land claiming is a big deal with a territory system so borders and nations feel real.
The server has extra systems like better roads that make you walk faster and rails that make minecarts go faster. The grindstone is reworked so you can take enchantments off and turn them into books. Farming is changed and fishing has custom drops. You can even move spawners with Silk Touch.
Maces are limited too. Only 10 exist on the whole server and each player can only craft one with restricted enchantments so they turn into real national artifacts.
