HermitiaSMP is a small hermitcraft inspired survival server that feels really cozy and friendly. It is vanilla plus so it still feels like normal Minecraft but there are extra features that make things smoother and more fun.
The server is very focused on events. There are weekly events that can be in game or in real life or even art contests. There is also a special Christmas island event that is all about festive cheer and it sounds like they do a lot of holiday stuff with the community.
You can use optional proximity voice chat so you can talk to people when you are close to them in game. There are event houses you can join and you can earn points for your house. There are also community builds so players actually work together on big projects.
The server has a custom HermitiaSMP datapack and some quality of life mods that add unique features. They also use anti griefing plugins like CoreProtect so builds stay safe and players do not have to worry as much about trolls. They have a server news service and something called server royalty which sounds like a fun extra role.
Lore for the server is coming soon so it looks like they are planning stories and more events around it. The whole vibe is tight knit and community based and it seems like they really want people to get involved and make a mark on the world.
