Distant Lands is a survival server that drops you into a big random spawn on a huge world that never resets. It feels like you are always walking into new places and you never know who built a base nearby.
The server is semi anarchy so raiding and griefing can happen. The big rule is no hacking so stuff like x ray and fly hacks are not allowed and they watch for it. It makes fights feel more fair since you win by skill.
PvP is the main thing here. You get in game money for killing other players and there is a bounty system so you can put a target on someone and turn the server into a hunt.
There is also a global player shop system. You can buy and sell items through a shared market and use your money to gear up for the next battle.
