Atropolis is a newly opened Java SMP that is whitelist only. It is aiming for a 16 plus semi vanilla community feel.
The server keeps the vanilla style but adds quality of life stuff like phantoms turned off and one person sleep. There is also a PvP toggle and some anti grief settings for certain mobs.
They have anti grief protections and rollback help if something goes wrong. Keep inventory is on in the nether and the end.
There are a few add ons like Simple Voice Chat Dynmap elytra trims a death count and player and mob head drops. Voice chat and elytra trims are optional if you want them.
Nether access and nether roof travel are set up at spawn so getting around is easier. The end is planned to be closed until March 28th for the first community event where everyone opens it together.

HomesteadCraft is a Java SMP that is for adults only and it is 21+. It is meant to be chill with no drama and no kids and there is no required playtime.
The map is 4 years old and it does not reset. It just expands with each update so people can build huge projects and keep them.
It runs on Java 1.21.11 with a few QOL plugins and most of them can be toggled off if you want. There is one player sleep and the server is on normal difficulty.
There are resource worlds for the overworld and nether and the End. The End world resets weekly.
You can also find a player run shopping district plus a gaming island. There are extras like aura skills acuteloot and anti grief claims.

CruzCraft is a Bedrock realm set on a 6000 by 6000 world in the latest update. The whole point is nations. You can start one with just two people and grow it up to 15 players then pick any government style you want or make your own.
There are three victory paths so nations can try to win through warfare builds or diplomacy. Wars are allowed and bounties exist if you want someone hunted down.
The realm uses a few add ons like a tree capacitor gravestone pack and land claims. Building is a big deal here and it is encouraged. A build is required to expand your land claims and if you show the owner your builds you might get rewarded with items like diamonds.
There is no global money system but your nation can make its own currency and even tax your own people. Religions are also player made so you can follow one or create your own. The owner and staff try to keep things fair with bans and compensation when needed and the realm is resetting on March 1 2026.

I found a private Minecraft server that is built around a player collar mod where people can be leashed. It is pretty weird on purpose and the whole point is to have more players around so it feels more fun.
They said there is a deficit of pet owners right now so you can join even if you do not want to wear a collar. To get in you have to apply in their Discord so you can be whitelisted.
They also do backups one to two times a week so griefing is a waste of time here.

The server is hosted in Germany and it runs on Purpur. It uses only official Minecraft launchers so cracked clients are not allowed.
The rules are focused on keeping the world safe. No griefing no stealing no scamming and no slurs. PvP is only if both players agree and there is also no x ray no cheats no seed maps and no duping. Do not cause harm to other peoples pets and animals and do not start drama.
There are some QOL changes too. Keep inventory is on and explosions do not destroy blocks. There is veinminer more fishing loot with very tiny chances and player teleports. The world border is set to 15k and there are rankings for stuff like mining and sword. Staff can also rollback grief fast and see who interacted with blocks.
