I found a paid Java server that has been kept running for years by the owner. It is a super small place right now and it is mainly for two people who just want more friends to play with.
It uses a really lightweight Modrinth modpack so it stays simple and not heavy. The vibe is chill and a little awkward at first since it is basically just them right now.
They are both 18 plus and would rather you are too but it is not required if you think you can handle it. You join their Discord so they can help you get set up.
