They run regular events every week and they try to make each one better than the last. The server uses their own custom mods and content and they are looking to grow the player base.

Awesome SMP 2 is a fresh Lifesteal SMP where fights actually matter because you can gain hearts by eliminating other players. It is meant to feel mostly vanilla and not like some huge modpack.
It only uses a couple mods to keep things simple. There is a voice chat mod so you can talk in proximity and that makes random encounters and fights way funnier. It also has JEI so crafting is easier to figure out.
