This is a semi vanilla Minecraft server that mixes Origins and Lifesteal in a pretty cool way. The server is really new and only about a week old so players are not super overpowered yet. You can still join and keep up with everyone in progression.
The server has different quality of life mods and immersion mods that make it feel nicer to play without going full crazy modpack. There are Lifesteal mechanics so PvP actually matters because hearts are important. There are many different Origins so you can pick a playstyle that fits you.
They also have the Create mod so you can build cool machines and contraptions if you like engineering stuff. Faction PvP is a big part of the server and there is optional roleplay if you want to act out a character or join some story with other players.
The whole thing feels like a chill but competitive place where people can fight in factions do some roleplay and enjoy modded survival without it being super complicated. Since it is early stage it is a good time to join and grow with everyone.

Waystone is a long term survival SMP where your builds actually stay. The world has been running since 2 December 2025 and they say it will not wipe.
It feels like a Hermitcraft style place with a small community. There is no pay to win and no economy grind. Land claims help keep your stuff safe and there is a live map so you can see what everyone has made over time.
PvP is consent based so you only fight if you want to. If you die your items go into a gravestone for hours so a random creeper does not end your whole session.

I found Calito Nations and it is a survival civilization server where politics actually changes what happens. It just opened Early Access and they want founding players to start towns and set the vibe.
You can found a town and pick how it is governed. There are five government types and each one changes stuff like upkeep land claims and expansion. Some are cheaper but force voting and some let you control more but cost more.
Elections use ranked choice voting so it is not just a simple one and done vote. Your vote weight depends on things like how long you lived there how much gold you put in the treasury and if you have been active recently. There is also a cap so one person cannot own the whole town.
Every town has a tension score and if it gets too high bad things start happening. Impeachment petitions can spawn residents can defect and towns can try to break away from their nation. You cannot just take power and go AFK.
