This is a really intense hardcore SMP where the whole point is to build a living civilization and not just survive alone.
The server is invite only. Only people who are already playing can invite new players. This makes the community feel more real and it helps keep trolls out. It also makes the world feel like it is growing slowly like a real population.

CivMC is a big survival civilization server where players build nations and make history. It feels like a long running world where what you do actually matters over time. The server is semi anarchy so players have a lot of freedom and power.
You can join a nation as a regular citizen and help build roads farms and cool infrastructure. If you stick around you can work your way up and maybe help run the nation or hold some government spot. You can also focus on pvp and fight players from rival nations.
There is a strong player economy. People run businesses and try to get shops in Pavia which is like the big economic hub of the server. It makes the world feel really alive when players trade and build up their own cities.
This version of CivMC has been going for almost four years so it is not one of those servers that dies in a week. The community accepts old and new players and new people get welcomed in pretty fast.

Foggy Willows is a server for people who really want normal Minecraft with nothing extra. It runs on the regular minecraft server jar and has no plugins and no datapacks. It just feels like playing singleplayer but with other people around.
The world is in hard mode so mobs hit pretty hard and you actually have to be careful. There is no tp or sethome and there is no fancy spawn or giant tutorial area. You just join the world and start playing.

This server is made for older gamers who feel weird playing with kids. It is for people around 30 or older like Millennials Xennials and Gen X.
