OakenvaleSMP is a survival server with a medieval vibe and a more RPG feeling. It is all about building big stuff and exploring a world that feels like it has a story.
Players can start towns and grow them into kingdoms and castles. The economy is player driven so trading and teaming up matters a lot.
There are QoL plugins plus custom biomes and expanded random generated structures so exploring stays interesting. There are also claims and teams so people cannot destroy or loot your builds.
You can play as a builder or a merchant or a farmer or an explorer. You can cooperate or compete and you can earn daily and hourly rewards you can check in game with the rewards command.

Meraki SMP is a new Towny geopolitical server where the main vibe is diplomacy and trade instead of nonstop fighting. It is launching next week and the whitelist is getting removed.
You can claim land and start a town then grow it into a real civilization. Towns can work together to form nations and make alliances and treaties. You can also join international groups that can change what happens in the world.
Each town can survey for up to four different resources and get daily production. There are also sites that produce key resources and towns can battle over those with TownyCaptureSites. Towns can always choose to stay neutral but Siege War and Event War are there if they want to go to war.
The economy is based on normal play like mining chopping trees and killing mobs plus events and contests. For trading there are player made shops with VillagerMarket and QuickShop-Hikari. Villager trades are disabled and there are no admin shops so it stays player driven.
The overworld uses Terra generation so the land looks epic for building. There is also a BlueMap you can use to see the world.

Foggy Willows is a survival server for people who want real vanilla Minecraft. It runs on the normal server jar with no extra stuff added at all.
You load in and it stays simple. There is no fancy spawn and no long rule book to read. Players are expected to handle their own social problems.
You can play how you want and build what you want. Hard mode is on and there is no world border so you can go as far as you want.

The world has custom biomes and custom structures to find. There are player trading shops and the progression is meant to feel fair. Pixel Springs is a cozy modded SMP on 1.20.1 made for people who want a long term world that does not reset. It feels aimed at builders collectors and chill players who like to take their time.
The mod list is very builder friendly with stuff like Building Gadgets Chipped Handcrafted and more decorations. There is also a big farming side with Farmers Delight Croptopia Cooking for Blockheads and the Lets Do mods. If you like magic there is Botania Hexerei Mystical Agriculture and Ars Nouveau.
There is a custom FTB Quests system so you can learn mods and get rewards while you collect items. You can earn in game currency through quests and daily rewards then set up a shop in the shopping district. There is also a resource overworld dimension that resets sometimes so resources are not limited.
