This is a small vanilla plus SMP called Lillias Goons. It just started last week so it still feels really fresh but people already have some stuff going on.
There are around 15 active players and most of them already know each other. Everyone seems pretty experienced with the game and they care a lot about farms and community projects. If you join they expect you to help with building farms and doing group builds and events instead of just hiding alone.
The server is semi private and they only take new members through a short application. You need to be at least 16 years old and they would really prefer if you are 18 or older.
It is a vanilla plus style SMP with support for both Java and Bedrock players. So you can join no matter which edition you use as long as you want a chill but active group to play with.

RigoloSMP is a vanilla style SMP that has been around for about three years. It went offline for a while and now it is back with a mini season. The world border is smaller right now and is about 3072 by 3072. It grows every Friday. Next season will go back to a normal border.
The server uses a few plugins like simple voice chat custom music discs custom goat horns squaremap and co inspect. None of these change the base game so it still feels like regular Minecraft. Donator perks are also not pay to win and for this mini season they are free.
The server used to hit around 50 players and they are trying to get that active community back. The current season really needs more players. The person talking about it even started as a normal player and is now a manager so it seems like the staff come from the community.
If you want a simple vanilla feeling SMP with a small world that slowly expands this server is trying hard to start up again and get new people.

Sunset Retreat SMP is a seasonal vanilla plus server for players who are 18 or older. It is based in the EU and the whole idea is to escape stress and just relax while playing Minecraft with other adults.
The server is whitelisted so the community stays chill and mature. People are welcoming and inclusive so it feels easy to join and talk or just hang out. It seems like a good place to meet new friends who also love survival.
The gameplay is mostly vanilla with only quality of life additions. There is voice chat for talking in game plus mob and player heads and a world map style feature. Bedrock players can join too so more people can play together.
There is a diamond based economy and players run their own shops. You can buy and sell items and services using diamonds which makes survival feel more like a little town.
The owners are active and they actually play on the server. They focus on managing and updating things and also being part of the community instead of just watching from outside.

This is a small cobblemon server that is still growing. It has a bunch of features and the owner likes to add more.
The cool thing is the owner listens if you want new mods or changes. If you have an idea you can just ask and they will try to add it.
The server feels pretty chill and is good if you just want to catch some mons and relax with other players.

CoreMC is a pure vanilla world that has been running for years. It uses the normal vanilla jar and the owner wants to see what people can build long term when the world never resets.
There are no datapacks except a basic logging one so rules can be enforced. Gamerules are all default. Almost anything you can do in normal Minecraft is allowed but item dupes are not.
The rules are simple. No pvp griefing or stealing. Respect other peoples builds. Do not make stuff that causes crazy lag on purpose. No racism sexism homophobia transphobia or any kind of harassment. No hacking like xray or fly. Client mods like shaders or schematics are usually fine if you ask first.
The server is whitelisted and not very active. It is better for players who enjoy late game survival and like to set their own goals. If you like slow long term worlds and building big projects without resets this server feels made for that.
