MC Bloodlines is a hardcore SMP that feels like those Minecraft civilization videos but it is not just a short event. It is a full server that stays up and keeps going.
The whole thing is invite only. Only players who are already inside can invite new people. This makes the world grow kind of like real life. It also helps keep trolls out and keeps the community active.
