XYZ Vanilla is a semi anarchy semi vanilla survival server that tries to keep the game feeling like real Minecraft. It stays close to vanilla but it has a few plugins and gamerule changes to make things smoother.
It works for both Java and Bedrock players. The server started on January 15th 2026 so the world is still pretty new and it is made to last.
The world border is set to 3 million and it will expand as more people join. There are no map resets. Nether roof access is on so travel can get wild.
Difficulty is hard. Night skips when 25 percent of players sleep. Respawns are spread out more around spawn.
Phantoms are optional and you can toggle them with a command. It is best to play on the latest version to avoid issues.

Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy survival server that started on October 11th 2024 and it is hosted in New York City in the USA.
It is meant to feel like real Vanilla Minecraft with very few changes. The world is huge with a 2 million block border and it does not reset. PvP and griefing are allowed and there is no pay to win.
You can join on Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11 and they recommend 1.21.10. The server is online all the time.
The only big command is spawn so people far away can get back to civilization. Nether roof access is allowed. Phantoms are removed and only half the players are needed to skip night.

I found a brand new community SMP that opened last weekend and it is semi vanilla but still has some cool upgrades.
It is whitelist only and 18+ only. There are no ranks and no donor perks. There is no server shop so players trade with a diamond based economy. There are also no teleport shortcuts so travel feels real.
The world uses Terralith generation and it has ValhallaMMO plus ValhallaTrinkets for deeper progression. Players can run shops with shopkeepers and rent market space too. There is Bluemap for looking at the world and Bell Claims for land claiming.

REGNUM is a long term Java 1.21.11 survival world where the map does not reset and players can pick their own path. It feels like vanilla SMP but with a medieval sandbox vibe where people build castles and set up lordships.
The main idea is minimal laws and maximum consequences. Staff only steps in for the important lines so most problems get handled by players through politics deals alliances or straight up PvP.
You can get into conflict and war with tools made for sieges and capturing enemies. Nights are harder too and there are balanced quality of life plugins. RuinRealms is a Factions first PvP server that is in Early Access during the Founders Era. It feels like the kind of place where you join early and help shape what it becomes and try to be one of the OG players before it gets packed.
The main gameplay is factions with raiding and lots of PvP. It also has McMMO progression so you can keep leveling up as you play. The whole vibe is dark medieval with builds that match it.
