This is a wild vanilla anarchy server that runs on version 1.3.2 and uses only the official jars.
There are no rules and no exploits are patched so everyone just does whatever they want. It feels really old school and messy in a fun way.

This is a modded SMP called Project Crowbar and it is all about hanging out and meeting new people. It is up 24 7 and the main thing is building and surviving together with the Create mod and a bunch of addons.
Spawn is actually a small city. There are two apartment complexes with eight apartments each so players can grab a room and have a place to live. There is also a working metro system that takes you out of spawn so you can travel and explore the world in a cool way.
The server uses a claim system so random people cannot grief your base. There is also a party and team system so you can group up with friends. There is a shopping district too where players can trade and buy stuff using a currency system so it feels like a real little town.
There are custom quests that give rewards and you start them with a simple command. It makes survival feel more guided and gives you stuff to do besides just mining. On top of that there are lots of quality of life mods like tree chopping corpses voice chat over twenty create addons and more.
The modpack gets updated every week to the latest versions of the mods and the owner adds new mods or features when players suggest them. The server is self hosted and feels like a community project where players actually help shape how it grows.

Emberline SMP is a brand new survival world that only wants 20 players total. The owner is tired of huge servers with like 100 people and also tired of servers that never even start.
The server is mostly vanilla and it has proximity chat as the main extra thing. You can talk in game when you get close to other players. There is a tutorial in the discord that shows you how to install it so it is not confusing.
There is also one player sleep so nights go by fast and there are player head drops so you can collect heads. It feels like it is built to be a small close group where everyone actually knows each other.

IronRealm SMP is a small semi vanilla survival server that is trying to grow a chill long term community. Right now there are about seven players and there is space for more but the owner wants to keep it capped so it stays close and does not get crazy.
The server is whitelisted so you have to apply first. You need to be 17 or older and you have to answer everything honestly or you just do not get whitelisted at all. If someone lies or shares the IP without permission they are banned and removed from the server and the discord. They are also very strict about no griefing no cheating and no pointless drama.

This server is called TBFMC and it is for people who want real survival with no shortcuts. It is semi vanilla and it feels like how Minecraft is supposed to play with no big gameplay changing stuff.
There is optional keep inventory if you really want it but there is no teleporting at all. Instead players are supposed to make real infrastructure like nether highways connected towns and shared community areas so the world feels connected.
They use custom in house plugins for land claiming towns and the player mall. These are made just for this server so your builds are protected but it still looks and feels like normal Minecraft.

This is a pirate themed Minecraft server where the ocean is actually scary now because there are sharks swimming around everywhere. It still feels like normal vanilla Minecraft but with extra cool stuff.
The owners are working on a big fishing update and a Fishermans Guild. While everyone waits they dropped a smaller update that adds these sharks to the oceans. When players go out on the sea they can run into sharks and it makes sailing and fishing way more intense.
The sharks are not just for looks. You can use shark drops for new crafting recipes. There is Shark Stew a special Shark Necklace and even Shark Plushies. It makes fishing and hunting in the water feel way more worth it.
You do not need any mods to play. Everything is added with a resource pack and ItemsAdder so it still counts as vanilla style. It just feels like the game got a pirate update with custom mobs and items.
