This server is a long term survival world that has been running for around three years. The map has real history because it started as a no rules anarchy world. You can see scars in the terrain and find old abandoned bases and hidden places made by players over time. Nothing has been wiped so everything you find feels like it really belongs there.
Now it is more survival focused but still keeps that anarchy past. There is progression and some quality of life stuff if you want it. You are not forced into any play style. You can build a base grind for gear trade with people explore ruins from old players or just run far away and survive by yourself.
The world feels like a real place and not like some minigame hub. There are optional ranks that only give quality of life and are not pay to win. If you are tired of fresh start servers and constant resets this server is made for long term players who want their progress to actually matter.

This server is called PGMC WORLD and it feels really simple and easy to understand.
You can pick how you want to play. If you like survival you can join the survival server. If you want to just build crazy stuff you can join the creative server. If you want the basic game you can join the vanilla server.
I like that you can switch with commands so you are not stuck in one mode. It is nice if you want to build in creative and then go back to survival later.
The community hangs out on Discord and it seems like they want different kinds of players. If you like survival or creative or just pure vanilla there is something here for you.

This server is all about custom spawner crafting in survival. Spawners are treated like the main resource here and the whole gameplay kind of revolves around them.
When you kill mobs they can drop special pearls and fragments. You can use those items to craft your own mob spawners. Right now they have creepers zombies skeletons and every passive mob up to sheep working with this system.
The server tries to keep a vanilla style feeling while still adding new items and recipes. The owners say this is just the start and they plan to add every passive hostile and boss mob plus more custom items crafting and mechanics later.
It feels like a place for people who like grinding mobs building farms and slowly getting stronger in a survival style world.

This is a semi vanilla survival server that feels really chill. It is focused on community and survival so you spend most of your time building and exploring instead of dealing with crazy plugins. The server is PvE and they do not allow griefing so your stuff is safe.
The economy is based on diamonds so you actually want to go mining. Players can make their own shops and there is a shops menu so you can browse and trade super fast. It makes the world feel alive because people are always buying and selling stuff.
You can claim land using golden shovels so your builds are protected. There are separate resource worlds so people can go mining there and the main world stays clean for bases and towns.
The server lets Java and Bedrock players play together so you can join on pretty much any platform. There is also a live world map you can view in your browser so you can see where everything is.
There are ranks and vote rewards you can earn just by playing and supporting the server. They run weekly events and the community seems really friendly and active which makes it easy to join and stay.

I found this server called Anarchy Network and it is a semi anarchy survival world that tries to feel really close to vanilla. It launched in October 2024 and it runs all the time.
You can join with Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.10 and they say 1.21.10 is best so stuff does not bug out. The world border is huge and goes out to two million blocks so there is a ton of space to run and hide.
The playstyle is very loose. There are no map resets and no teleport commands so if you go far you really travel. There is no pay to win at all and griefing and PvP are fully allowed so you have to be careful who you trust. The only non vanilla thing you can use is a spawn command so people far away do not feel trapped.
They also allow using the nether roof and they removed phantoms so nights are a little less annoying and only half the people in the server have to sleep to skip the night.
Even though it is semi anarchy there are still some rules. You cannot use exploits or dupes. You cannot build lag machines or spam chat. Harassment and racial slurs are not allowed either.
Overall it feels like a pure survival server with almost no limits where the world never resets and your actions actually stay forever.
