Pixel Springs is a cozy modded SMP on version 1.20.1 and it is made for builders collectors and chill players who want a world that does not reset all the time.
The server has a big focus on building and decoration with lots of builder friendly mods. There are also tons of farming mods so you can grow crops cook meals and earn in game currency for finishing them. If you like collecting stuff there is a custom FTB Quests system that helps you collect different items and gives you goals to work on.
If you enjoy magic there are mods like Botania Hexerei Mystical Agriculture and Ars Noveau. There are also animal and creature mods so you can explore and find cute companions in the world.
The server uses in game currency that you earn from quests and daily rewards and you can use it to build shops in the shopping district and make your own little market. There is also a special resource world dimension that resets sometimes so the main world can stay long term while you still have fresh places to mine and explore.
The community is small friendly and welcoming and the server is still pretty new so you can join while it is in the early days. The admin team is active and tries to help players and there are frequent backups to keep the world safe.

Foggy Willows is a server for people who want Minecraft as close to normal as possible. It runs on the regular vanilla server jar with no datapacks and no plugins.
There is no big confusing spawn with a ton of signs to read. You basically join and you are in the world. You figure things out yourself.
Players here are supposed to handle their own social problems. There is no teleport or sethome and there is no world border. You just walk build mine and survive in hard mode.
You can play how you want and build what you want. Technical players are welcome too since it is always on the latest stable vanilla jar and hosted on a machine built for it.

This is a pure vanilla anarchy survival server with a spawn right in the middle of the ocean. When you first join you have to swim or use a boat to find land before you can really start playing. It feels kind of like an adventure right away.
The world is super old and was first made in 2011. You can find ancient terrain and a lot of random ruins from years of players building and leaving. There is newer terrain too but you have to explore pretty far to see it. The server always runs the latest Minecraft snapshot so you get new features early.
Gameplay is totally vanilla with no plugins or mods changing how the game works. Sometimes player heads and mob heads can drop in combat. The only extra stuff is from a custom chat bot that has commands like home tpa and spawn plus some silly commands that players can mess around with.
There is a self regenerating spleef arena in the End and the End dimension looks really cool because it has been around since 2011. The whole server has a very open anarchy style. Griefing is allowed and hacked clients are also allowed.
The rules are super simple. Treat others with respect and do not try to crash the server on purpose. Most people on here are in their mid twenties or older and a lot of them are long time friends who just want more players that enjoy classic vanilla survival with a chaotic twist.

I found this server called Anarchy Network and it is a semi anarchy world that feels really close to normal survival. It started on October 11th 2024 and it runs all the time.
The server is made to feel like pure vanilla survival with almost no extra stuff. There are barely any rules and people can do pvp and grief. There are no map resets and no teleport commands so what you build and where you go actually matters.
The only real extra command is spawn so players who go really far out can come back and not be stuck forever. The world border is huge at 2 million blocks so there is tons of space to explore and hide. Nether roof travel is allowed. Phantoms are removed and only about half the players online have to sleep to skip the night.
You can join with Java from version 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11 but they say 1.21.10 is best so things work right.
There are still a few rules. No exploits. No lag machines. No duping. No spam. No harassment or racial slurs in chat. It is meant to be chaotic but not totally broken or toxic.
Overall it feels like a tough survival server for people who like danger and long term worlds with very little protection.

VirexMC is a towny survival server that is made for players who want to stay in one world for a long time. It is not some random server that dies after a week. Everything is built around towns nations and a real player economy so you actually feel like the world matters.

This server is called Waystone and it is a calm survival world. It is made for people who like to take things slow and just build and explore over time.
The vibe is really quiet and friendly. There is no shouting and no pressure to rush. Chat is respectful and you can play at your own pace without feeling watched or judged.
The world is built around towns. Players make their own towns with roads shared spaces and little noticeboards. Everything is meant to feel lived in and connected so places grow slowly instead of being rushed and abandoned.
The map does not reset every season. Old towns paths and builds stay there so the world keeps its own history. It feels like the world grows up with the players and remembers what people made.
