PancakeSMP is a vanilla Minecraft survival server that feels really calm and chill. When I joined it felt like everyone just wanted to build cool stuff and relax together.
There is no PVP and griefing is not allowed so you do not have to worry about people ruining your builds. The whole vibe is peaceful and about enjoying the game with other players.
People here seem friendly and like to talk and make friends. It is a good place if you just want to play survival and build in peace with others around you.

HermitLike SMP is a survival world that feels a lot like Hermitcraft but smaller and more chill. The server has been open for about two months so there is still a ton of space to build and plenty of room to start shops and make your own base.
The server runs on version 1.21.9 and allows both Java and Bedrock players to join so people on PC console and Switch can all play together. There is a shopping district at spawn where players build stores and use diamonds as the main currency.
The gameplay is mostly vanilla and there is no pay to win and no voting or crates. The few plugins are used for quality of life and security like grief protection. The staff team is active and they watch for trouble makers and help new players get started.
The community is friendly and peaceful and there are events and a live online map so you can see what everyone is building and where they are. It is a good place if you like chill vibes nice builds and working with other players instead of fighting them.

PeaMC is a pure survival server that feels like old school Minecraft. When I joined it looked and played like classic survival with no crazy plugins in your face. You just join and start surviving.
There is no teleporting at all so you actually have to walk or sail or ride to get around. It makes the world feel big and adventures feel more real. There are no land claims so building feels like singleplayer. You just pick a spot and build.
The server is vanilla style so there are no plugins that change how survival works. You can make teams and invite your friends so you are not alone. PvP is allowed so you can fight other players if you want.
The rules are pretty strict about being respectful. Hacks and exploits are not allowed. Harassment and slurs are not allowed either. Griefing and stealing are banned so you cannot destroy bases kill pets or take items from other bases. Spawn killing is also not allowed.
They also ban destructive PvP like using respawn anchors end crystals and minecarts to blow up builds. That counts as griefing so they tell people to avoid it. The owner and mods are active in the game and on Discord and the community feels chill and friendly.
PeaMC supports both Java and Bedrock from 1.7x up to 1.21.11 so it is easy to join from most versions.

I found this server called Anarchy Network and it is a semi anarchy world that tries to feel like real vanilla survival with barely any rules. It started in October 2024 and the world is not getting reset so everything you build or destroy stays there.
You can join on Java from old 1.7.2 up to 1.21.10 but the owner says 1.21.10 is best so stuff does not break. The world border is huge at 2 million blocks so people can go super far and hide bases.
On this server griefing and pvp are fully allowed. There is no pay to win and there is no teleporting to players or homes. The only real command you get that is not vanilla is slash spawn so people far away can still come back to other players. You can go on the nether roof and there are no phantoms and only half the people online are needed to skip night.
Even though it is semi anarchy there are a few rules. You cannot use exploits or dupes. You cannot make lag machines or spam chat. You also cannot harass people with racial slurs. Besides that it is pretty much do what you want survival with danger everywhere.

Rattata SMP is a new survival server that is trying to stay as close to vanilla as possible. It is made for mature players who are 18 or older and it works for both Java and Bedrock.
The rules are really simple. Do not grief and use common sense. The server is for people who just want to enjoy Minecraft with others and slowly build a community together.
There is no teleport and there are no custom loot tables or special world generation. It is just basic vanilla gameplay on hard difficulty. There is a live map you can look at and only a part of the players need to sleep since it uses 33 percent sleep. The server is whitelist only and it launched on December 26.
If you want a simple vanilla style world with adults and a focus on community this feels like a good place.
