CaveMC is a semi anarchy survival server that feels like vanilla but sharper. The whole overworld is underground so there is no surface at all. It is all caves with biomes resources and structures made from custom world generation.

ArcticMC is a new survival server that started just a couple days ago. It feels pretty chill and it is made for people who like to build and also want some faction drama.
It runs Towny and Factions so you can make a town claim land team up with other groups or try to take space for yourself. PvP matters here but they also use an honor system and it gets explained in their rules so fights do not turn into total chaos.
There is McMMO style skill leveling so you get stronger by playing and you can unlock special abilities as you level up. They also have custom items with furniture and it is entity based so they plan to limit it per chunk to help with lag.
The world uses Tectonic generation so the terrain looks more realistic with big mountains and valleys. The community is meant to be calm friendly and atmospheric so you can grind build explore or just hang out.

Blothera is a vanilla like survival overhaul server that feels tough and slow in a good way. It uses a bunch of custom in house plugins and it is built around strategy and a world shaped by players.
It is not pay to win and there are no kits. There is no teleport spam and you cannot use coordinates so you have to actually learn the land. You get around with maps and compasses and banners can act like spawn points so outposts matter.
It runs a Hardcore Lite system where each death removes a max heart. You can get max hearts back with golden apples or by sleeping near a campfire. Natural regen from full hunger is turned off so healing is about stews potions golden apples and sleep.
The survival rules are harder too like crops needing sunlight and animals needing open sky to breed. Overcrowding can cause disease and progression pushes you to explore more than one kind of structure.
Every few weeks there is a Bloodmoon night where the sky turns red and stronger monsters show up even in lit areas. They can hear you so sneaking matters.
There is also an alignment system where killing players drops your alignment and can make you a bandit. Bandits are kill on sight and cannot join nations. Nations unlock after the Ender Dragon is defeated and they are run with books and lecterns with records of actions. If things get serious players can siege towns with cannons and airships.

It is locally hosted in NA and it gets really active on weekends. The world border is 50k so you have lots of space and you can still run into bases to mess with or set traps. There is a strict moderation team so players using unfair modded clients get caught fast. Admins are usually on every day.

Konohaven SMP is a semi vanilla Java server and Season 5 just started with a big focus on letting players make the choices.

it is hard difficulty and it runs on version 1.21.10 with purpur. the world is default vanilla generation and you can play how you want like explore farm build automate enchant and fight.
lapis is used as money and there are basic teleports like sethome home warp spawn and tpa if the other player accepts. the end gets reset every month on the 1st so it is a bad place to base.
