This is an Origin Anarchy style SMP where everyone has to pick a different origin. No one is allowed to be the same origin so every player ends up with a unique playstyle. It is all about pvp and base building with a lot of chaos.
The server has more than 100 different origins you can choose from. Because no origin can repeat it makes fights and team ups feel really different every time. You get a new type of pvp and survival where your powers and your downsides really matter.
There are server wide events that let you buff your origin or make it easier to use. Sometimes you can reduce a bad downside. Sometimes you can get new weapons. You can even change your origin to an exclusive one during certain events.
There are custom structures around the world and the server runs 24 7 with constant updates and new content. The staff lets players help with balancing so you can suggest nerfs or buffs for certain origins.
The server is on version 1.20.1 and is based in NA West but anyone can join from anywhere. It is made for people who want new pvp experiences and crazy base building in an anarchy style world.

Boneyard SMP is a vanilla style survival server that just launched Season 4 so everything feels fresh again. They also restarted with a new Discord and they want you to apply before you can join.
The vibe is chill and community focused. You are expected to be polite and respectful and there is no griefing or stealing. Cheats and hacked clients are not allowed and PvP only happens if you have permission.
They want spawn to stay nice so you cannot build within 500 blocks of it and you should fill in creeper holes. If you make a nether portal you should link it correctly between the overworld and the nether. Shops are allowed but they should stay a reasonable size.
If something goes wrong they want people to contact admins or open a support ticket instead of calling people out in public chat. This is a modded survival server with a custom pack made by a small group that wants more people around so the world feels less empty.
The pack is mostly about building and engineering with Create stuff like trains and cannons and maybe more later. The world gen is custom so it feels way bigger and it also uses Distant Horizons so you can see far.
Elytra are disabled so travel leans into the train life and it also has Via Romana. Mobs are harder too with reworked AI like endermen that can throw you in the air.

I found The Creativity SMP and it is a modded Forge server on 1.20.1. It is built around the Create mod with a bunch of add ons like create nuclear and clockwork and more.
It also mixes in military style mods like warium and superb warfare so you can do tech builds and also mess with war gear. There is an economy on the server and the admins seem solid.
Cracked players can join. Valkyrien Skies plus clockwork and eureka are in so ships and flying stuff are part of the vibe. Superfarms are allowed too.

Halcyon is a Lands PvP server made to feel like an immersive medieval world. It was founded by a postgraduate medievalist and it aims for that old school survival feeling while staying on the latest vanilla Minecraft version 1.21.11. It plans to update to 1.26.1 as soon as possible.
The server is based in Australia but people play from Europe the Americas and Asia too. It usually has around 10 to 30 players online and peaks around 40 to 60 each day.
The world is handmade and the rules are there to make things harder and slow down progress. It tries to make meta play and heavy automation feel less important. The big wins come from teamwork smart deals research exploring and building huge cities churches groves and forts.
There is no teleportation so travel really matters. Players end up building roads waystations and even hidden underground railways. Crops and saplings are limited to certain biomes so trading becomes necessary and regions start to feel different.
