Oakwood SMP is a semi vanilla survival server that just feels super calm and simple. When I joined it felt like a normal singleplayer world but with a bunch of friendly people around. There is no crazy stuff going on and no pay to win mess.
The owner really pushes players to talk and play together. People actually say hi and help each other out. It is really beginner friendly so even if you are new you will not feel lost. You can just log in mine a bit build something and log off feeling relaxed.
The gameplay is fair and the progression feels smooth. It is mostly vanilla with some quality of life things so the game stays clean. It is meant for players who just want calm survival building and making friends without stress.
The server runs on version 1.21.x and it is online all the time. It also supports Bedrock players and is hosted in India for good ping if you are nearby.
If you want a place to chill and just vibe with other players Oakwood SMP is honestly a nice spot.

This server is called LegacyMC and it is a raw vanilla anarchy world. When I joined it felt like pure survival with no rules and no help at all. There are no land claims and no teleport commands and no special plugins changing the game.
The world started in June 2025 so it is still pretty fresh but already people are trying to make their own legacy. You can build a secret base far away or stay near spawn and fight everyone. PvP is always on and griefing and raiding are allowed so nothing is really safe.
There are no ranks and no pay to win stuff. The owner said the server is paid for and they never ask for donations. There is no admin interference in the world so what happens is all from the players. If you build something or blow something up it stays that way.
The server runs on dedicated hardware in Australia so it is meant for players in Australia and New Zealand who want low ping. Anyone can join because there is no whitelist and there are no applications or queues. You just log in and try to survive.
LegacyMC is for people who like freedom and want a world that does not reset. It feels like a classic survival server where every action matters and you have to deal with the chaos created by other players.

EmberSteal SMP is a multiplayer world that mixes ideas from lifesteal and other power based servers into one place. It is all about fighting and stealing and keeping your progress safe.
When you kill another player you have an equal chance to steal one of their hearts or one of their effect bundles. There is also a third special mechanic that is planned but not shown yet. Everything drops as embers so your gains are never fully safe.
You can craft effect bundles yourself and stack them. If you eat the same bundle again it upgrades from level 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3. All of this is done with custom datapack effects so it feels fresh.
The goal is to make progression feel fast and dynamic but still balanced because other players can steal what you worked for. It is planned for Java and maybe Bedrock and they use simple voice chat so fights and team ups feel more real.
The server is still being worked on and they want people who are down to join or help test it once it is ready probably around mid December.

This is an anarchy style Origins server where every player gets a totally different way to play. There are over 150 different Origins and nobody can pick the same one so your powers and your downsides are just yours. Some players might start in the nether and some can only live in the ocean so the server feels really random and fun.
The server is Java only and runs on version 1.20.1. It is based in NA West but anyone can join. It has 24 7 uptime and keeps getting new updates and content so it does not feel dead.
There are server wide events where you can buff your origin. You can reduce or nerf a downside or get new weapons or even switch to an exclusive origin. It makes the server feel like it is always changing.
There are custom structures to explore and a Better End so netherite is not the only thing you grind for anymore. There are also more than 20 quality of life mods that make farming and grinding easier.
The server has voice chat so you can talk with people make new friends or trash talk in fights. The community is growing and everyone has a different journey so it is fun to see what builds and bases people make and how they use their powers.

This server is called Nation States and it is a semi vanilla world built around towny claiming.
The whole point is to make nations and build them up. People are expected to do diplomacy trade and war. The server wants players talking and working together or fighting each other and not just hiding alone.
The theme is early antiquity so it feels like playing in an ancient world. There is a custom map that is around 5k by 5k so it is big but not too huge.
The server has a special spirit that everyone has to follow. That means you should like fun roleplay lore and conflicts. If you just try to ruin that or ignore it you can be removed to protect the experience for other players.
It is still in development but it already aims to be a place for nation building and serious interaction between players.
