PurpleSMP is a small survival server that feels really calm and safe. It is made for players who just want to build cool stuff and not worry about rude people ruining everything. It is all about relaxing PvE and just enjoying the world for a long time.
The server has land claims so your builds are protected. Every block someone places or breaks is logged. Your inventory is backed up when you join or leave or die. Staff can restore things if someone breaks the rules. There is also a strong anti cheat that alerts staff and can react fast when it catches something.
There is no shop and no money system. The whole economy is based on what players do and trade themselves. You can level up skills with mcMMO so normal tasks like cutting trees feel a bit more special.
PvP is off by default but if you want to fight you can turn it on with a simple command. There are extra player vaults when your normal inventory is too small. The server also has an online map where you can see the world kind of like looking at it on a map website.

DragonRiseSMP is a modded 1.18.2 world that feels like an RPG. It is built around exploring huge structures and dungeons surviving the wild and making trades while you build cool bases.
There are tons of dragons with extra variants and structures. You also have to watch your thirst and temperature so you keep warm by campfires and purify water in canteens or bowls using a campfire or furnace. There is even a mod that lets you pee after you drink and you can change the key for it.
You can find battle towers roguelike dungeons and custom structures with a lot of loot. Some towers like brass amber battle towers you will probably need to research. There are new bosses and the End Remastered mod so you collect special eyes and explore a custom stronghold to unlock the End.
Villagers use Minecraft Comes Alive so they act like real people. Enchantments can go up to level 10 for most things. There is a duplicator tree that lets you duplicate items and a simple shops mod with a shop area at spawn plus villager trade cycling.
You also get backpacks simple voice chat home decor stuff and even coffee. The server already has around 100 members so it feels active and alive.

Aevumcraft is a semi vanilla server that is all about the history of the Reconquista. It feels like playing a strategy game but inside Minecraft.
Players manage nations using a special territory claiming system that works kind of like EU4. You fight wars of conquest and try to take more land from other players.
The combat is focused on time accurate weapons. You use swords guns pikes and other weapons that fit the historical theme. Battles feel organized and intense.
The server also has a custom vehicle engine. You can fight with ships and use catapults to attack enemies during sieges. It makes wars feel really different from normal Minecraft.
You also build up towns with a unique building plugin that is similar to EU4 style systems. So it is not just pvp there is also planning and construction.

This is a custom SMP that feels kind of like lifesteal but more forgiving and honestly pretty cool.
The whole server is built around a special item called essence. You can not craft it at all. You only get essence by killing other players or by harvesting their dead bodies. So PVP actually matters a lot here.
When you collect enough essence you unlock strong abilities. You can get stuff like more speed more strength fire resistance and even extra hearts. So the more you risk and fight the stronger your character can become.
If you lose too much essence it is not game over but it does hurt. Dying a lot gives you debuffs like weakness and slowness. So you want to play smart and not just jump into every fight without thinking.
The server is made for Minecraft Java 1.21.11 and uses a fully custom plugin. It is whitelist only so you need to send a short application first. It is mostly aimed at content creators but normal players can still get in because they want more people for launch.
From what I can tell the vibe is competitive but still more chill than normal lifesteal. You can fight and hunt each other but you are not instantly ruined forever if you die.

GlowSMP is a new Vanilla plus survival server where people go to build grind or just chill. It is made for players who want normal Minecraft but with extra helpful stuff.
The server has claims so you do not need to worry about griefing. It has quality of life things like better harvesting chest sorting voice chat and a world map so it feels smoother to play.
There are a bunch of new fish you can catch and sell for money and there is a leaderboard for the best fisher. There are also 11 special enchantment books that help with building or gathering like breaking a whole tree at once or mining faster.
Jobs work different here because you do every job at the same time. You get experience and money for most actions and there is a clean leaderboard so you can see who is grinding what the most.
One of the coolest parts is a big storage network system. You can set up a terminal in your base and link chests into it so you can search and store items way easier kind of like modded storage.
The server is fully free to play. Everything can be earned by playing and vote ranks give you keys commands and more. There is a shop if you want to support but you are not forced to pay.
Overall it feels like a chill survival server that keeps Minecraft close to vanilla but makes it less annoying and more fun for long term players.
