Prime Divinity is a modded roleplay SMP for people who really like storylines and lore and gods.
The story has two main paths. You can be a mortal who runs with Cora and Wisteria. They are trying to find a safe place after leaving their old city. Together you discover a castle that looks abandoned. Inside there is a powerful deity and their right hand. You get to figure out who they really are.
Or you can be one of the gods or a right hand. The gods are all waiting for the next god of creation. Someone named Luna was supposed to take that job but she vanished. Now the higher powers are freaking out and they send search parties all over the region. You can join that search and see if you can find her.
You need Curseforge to join because the server is modded. There are still a bunch of roles that need players so there is a lot of space to fit your character into the story. The community feels really excited to meet new people who love lore and roleplay.

Kokushin is a Minecraft server based on a world of sorcerers and curses where the strongest really rules.
You can play as a lone wolf mastering jujutsu and try to become a total force of nature. Or you can join a clan and get power through unity and build an empire and try to rule the jujutsu society.
The server has clans with ranking systems wars claims rogues events bounties and bosses. You can fight on a tower for crazy rewards and fight bosses to get their skills. There are raids you can try to conquer and a lot of stuff waiting for you on Kokushin.
The server is very heavy on lore and it uses a perma death system so if you die it really matters. The base of the server is jujutsu but it is not limited to only that and they try to complement the experience with more ways to play.
You can choose to be a rogue or a sorcerer so how you live in this world is totally up to you.

This is a lifesteal style SMP called the Skerp SMP and it is an open world server.
You do not just grind for the best gear. Maces and elytras are only gained through events. If you try to get them any other way it is banned. So winning events actually matters a lot.
There are teams you can join so you are not stuck playing alone. This also helps a ton because it is lifesteal and if you go solo you will probably get wiped fast.
The discord has around one hundred players and voice chats are pretty active. People are usually hanging out and talking while playing. The whole server feels like a group trying to survive together but also compete in events at the same time.

This server feels like one of those old Minecraft worlds that never really died and that is what makes it cool. It is mostly vanilla and it has a strong community where people actually remember each other.
There is a PvE survival world where players build in survival mode but do not have to worry about other players attacking them. You only fight mobs. People work together to make towns and cities and the PvE map was reset on September 19 so the world is still pretty fresh. They also do Friday and Saturday games nights with stuff like spleef thimble and ice boat races at set times in eastern time.
There is also a Creative server that uses mixed natural and custom terrain. You can protect your builds and you can use WorldEdit if you want. They run community events there too like Spleef and Speed Build and other minigames on alternating Saturdays. The current creative map is called Revision 38 and started on June 22 2024.
They also brought back a Snapshot server that is different from the other two and it does not have official revisions. It is more loose and experimental.
Overall the vibe is players who like mostly vanilla gameplay and want that feeling of belonging from early Minecraft multiplayer. If you want chill building and regular community events this place is pretty good.

Spugunke is a brand new 1.21.11 SMP that is all about community and long term survival. The world just started so early players get to help shape everything and become part of the core group as the server grows.
The main idea is player made towns and teams. Anyone can start or join a town. People build shared bases farms and big projects together. Some teams focus more on pvp some like exploring and some just gather resources and build. Solo players are fine too so you can chill alone or with friends.
Rules are relaxed but still fair. No griefing no stealing and no random killing. PvP is only allowed when everyone agrees so fights are organized and not just chaos. Town or team battles can happen but only if both sides say yes.
Spawn is planned to be a real community hub instead of just a spawn point. Players will add their own builds and hang out there so it feels like a shared city. A lot of people like to be in voice calls while they play so it has a social vibe.
The server supports full Java and Bedrock crossplay so people on different platforms can play together without any weird stuff. It only uses simple vanilla enhancing plugins like tpa sethome spawn basic protection and discord chat so the game still feels like normal survival.
