Early Alpha Medieval Factions RPG War
I found a very early alpha server that is all about late medieval faction warfare with RPG style progression and a player driven economy.
You are not stuck doing one thing the whole time. You can go all in on faction PvP. You can grind like an MMO. Or you can play more independent as a trader gatherer craftsman or contractor who supplies factions and builds for other players.
It has custom crops and custom weapons and armor with special effects. The mobs are stronger than vanilla and there are boss mobs that push you to team up. The economy uses mixed currencies and there is a secure MMO style trading window so trading feels safer.
Players spawn at a main market hub called Osthaven where people buy and sell. You can also set up temporary wilderness camps protected with WorldGuard to help with hunting gathering and travel.

The Pen MC is a classic prison server that feels like the old 2014 style where you actually have to grind. There is no instant selling and you are not getting overpowered armor right away. You mine then you smelt your ores and you may have to walk through pvp zones just to go sell so it feels risky.
Progress is not just one boring path. You can keep ranking up from A to H then reach Parole. After you max out you can prestige and pick how you want to push forward.
Mining is the classic grind with better mines and perks as you go. Fishing is a full custom system that can make good money and has special rewards and boosts. There is also a mob arena where you fight waves and bosses with group rewards and you earn money and shards by fighting.
There is a cookie farming bakery thing too where you farm wheat and cocoa then bake cookies with custom mechanics. You can do long term cookie quests compete on leaderboards and trade baked cookies into higher tier rewards.
Some players can become a Parolee and leave prison to build farms. There are guards and contraband rules plus illegal crops that are high risk high reward. You can rent cells and plots use the auction house set bounties do parkour challenges and run player shops.
