ArcticMC is a survival SMP that mixes Towny and factions. It is pretty chill and it feels more relaxed than most servers. You can start a town and claim land then team up with other towns or go your own way and take territory.
PVP matters here but it is not just random chaos. They use an honor system and they explain it in their Discord rules so fights are supposed to stay fair.
It also has McMMO skills so you level up as you play. You can train stuff like mining and combat and unlock special abilities later.
The world uses Tectonic generation so the terrain looks big and realistic with mountains and valleys. There are also custom items and even furniture. The furniture is entity based so they plan to limit it per chunk to help with lag.
If you want a calm community where you can build grind explore and still have faction action this one fits that vibe.
