ArcticMC SMP is a new survival server that started just a couple days ago. It mixes Towny and factions so you can build a town then claim land and make alliances or go for your own territory.
PVP matters here but it is not meant to be messy. They use an honor system for fights and it is explained in their rules.
It also has McMMO skills so you level up as you play and unlock abilities like you are in an MMO. There are custom items too and they even have furniture. The furniture is entity based so they plan to set a per chunk limit to help with lag.
The world uses Tectonic generation so the terrain looks big and realistic with mountains and valleys. The community is meant to be calm friendly and atmospheric so you can grind build explore or just vibe.
