Moshpit SMP Vanilla Chaos Done Right
I found Moshpit SMP and it feels like survival that still keeps a vanilla vibe but it does not try to be super strict.
There are no land claims so you can build anywhere and people can raid too so it can get wild. It supports both Bedrock and Java so more friends can play together.
It has player shops plus an auction house and duels if you want to make quick cash. There are custom enchants that are meant to stay balanced like 3×3 drills and lifesteal.
The world has custom terrain that still looks normal. PvE gets harder the farther out you go and there are random world events every 30 minutes that can help or hurt or just be weird.

Straight Up is a straight vanilla survival server that is trying to be a forever world. The overworld has not been wiped since April 1st 2019 and the point is to keep it going with real history and old places to find.
There are no land claims and no protected areas. PvP and griefing are allowed so you have to watch your back and play smart.
There is no tpa and no home commands. There is also no currency factions or economy stuff. It is just survival the way it normally feels.

FabricCraft is a newer survival server that feels way closer to the base game. It runs on Fabric so farms and redstone are meant to work like you expect.
The main world is semi anarchy so most things are allowed and the rules are pretty light. There are no land claims and there are no resets so the map changes because of the players and not because of wipes.
People end up making alliances and trading. Raids and rivalries happen naturally too. Hacked clients and mods that give unfair advantages are not allowed.
Simple Voice Chat is available on the server. Griefing close to spawn is not allowed within 1k blocks and it is handled by active moderation instead of claim plugins.
