This server is a week long survival event set in an Attack on Titan style world. It uses a huge custom dimension and you spawn into different villages spread across the map. You start with some basic supplies plus a set of ODM gear and there are horses for getting around.
The big thing is there is no global chat. Talking only works with proximity voice so you have to be near people to communicate. It makes everything feel tense because you never know who is close by.
On day 2 five random players secretly become Titans and they look like normal players. Their goal is to kill everyone and stop survivors from escaping the dimension. Every in game day ends with a vote where players try to figure out who is a Titan.
There are lots of places to explore like villages forests rivers dead zones and even a beach at the edge with a sealed portal. Titans also roam the wild so even traveling can get scary.
This server lets you pick how you want to play. You can jump between survival creative and vanilla using the server command.
It feels like a place for people who like to switch things up. One day you can grind in survival and the next day you can just build stuff in creative.
It also says there is Bedrock support with a port listed so more players can get in.
Closebound is a chill survival server for adults who want a calm place to play after work. It has a community first vibe and it feels more like relaxing than racing.
The world has been live for about a month and the Ender Dragon is already beaten. That means the big rush is over and people can just build and play at their own pace. Shops are open so you can start from scratch or use the player economy to jump into a big project.
It is whitelisted and runs on Fabric with Proximity Voice. The server keeps things low friction with no griefing and no land claim bloat. It is meant to be a safe quiet spot to farm build and just breathe.
I found an active Bedrock Survival Realm that is mostly vanilla but it has some extras to keep it interesting.

The season started about two weeks ago so it still feels fresh and the community is growing fast. Their Discord is already over 1,000 members and they do daily updates and giveaways too.
I found FreakCraft and it is made for people who want real vanilla survival. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no plugins and no datapacks.
The server keeps it simple so there is not a fancy confusing spawn. You just join and play how you want. Build what you want and do your own thing.
There is no tp and no sethome so you have to travel the normal way. Players are expected to handle their own social problems too. Technical Minecraft players are welcome and it stays on the latest stable vanilla jar on a self hosted machine.
