This is a modded Minecraft server that is running a big team deathmatch tournament with real money for the winners. The owner set it up so everyone can join early and grind materials before the main fighting starts on the 20th.
You can make a team with up to four players. The team that wins splits 100 dollars but if every member of the winning team stays alive and survives then they split 200 dollars instead. You only get fully knocked out of the tournament if another player kills you.
When someone gets a final kill the killer has to send a screenshot of the chat message that says who killed who. Then the server owner puts the dead player into spectator mode so they are out. If anyone gets caught using x ray then their whole team is banned and everyone they killed gets revived.
If you just stop playing for more than a week and you do not say why you get disqualified and it counts like you died. You also have to submit your list of teammates before the 20th or you will not count for the tournament. If you think someone is cheating the owner will check the logs with you but you can only call hacks three times.
The server feels like a serious but still pretty chill event where people want fair fights and real competition. It is good if you like modded Minecraft and team PvP and you want to play for a prize and bragging rights.

GamerHub Towny is a super new Towny SMP that started as a streaming server and now it is trying to grow into a bigger community.
The vibe is pretty chill but it can still feel competitive. Griefing and stealing are not allowed so your builds can stay safe. Most players are in the US and people are welcoming to new players.

PeaMC is a survival server that tries to feel like classic Minecraft. It keeps things simple so you do not have teleports or land claims and it is not full of plugins in your face. You just travel build and survive like the old days.
It is whitelisted so it is harder for trolls to get in. The community is meant to be chill and the owner and mods are active in game and on Discord.
It supports crossplay for Java and Bedrock from 1.7x to 1.21.11. PvP is allowed but there is newbie protection for one hour after you join so you do not get spawn killed and you can turn that off. Teams are also a thing so you can group up with friends.
Griefing and stealing are not allowed and neither is harassment slurs hacks or exploits. Destructive PvP like crystals beds anchors TNT and minecart PvP is not allowed since it can wreck builds. CaveMC is a survival server that feels like vanilla but way more intense. The big twist is the entire overworld is underground so there is no surface at all. It is just caves forever with biomes resources and structures to find.
It is semi anarchy so survival is brutal and you have to be smart to last. Season 2 is out now with a fresh start and more stuff added.
A new expansion called the Wasteland Dimension is opening on November 8th. It brings new gear to fight over huge mega structures with secrets and its own currency for a player driven economy. Warshipcraft is a Movecraft server where players build ships and take them into fights. It runs on Java 1.21.11 and it also lets Bedrock players join too. There is also cracked support and premium players have their own login steps.
The server uses custom scripts and a bunch of plugins. You can use shops and warps to get around easier. There is a dynmap and the main world is an Earth map at 1:750 scale. The map is still loading chunks since the dynmap was just brought back.
They say it is zero tolerance for cheating and staff abuse and bans happen fast. The server has been around since 2017 and the owner says it is a passion project so it is not going anywhere. The server is usually a small group and they listen to suggestions. I found Anarchy Network and it is a semi anarchy survival server that tries to keep things feeling like real Vanilla Minecraft. It started on October 11th 2024 and it is hosted in New York City.
The server is online all the time and it lets Java players join from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11. It recommends 1.21.10 so you do not run into problems.
The world is huge with a 2 million block border and there are no map resets. There is no pay to win and griefing and PvP are allowed. The only non vanilla command is spawn so players far away can still get back to civilization.
