So I found this new Minecraft server that is running on Java 1.21.10 plus and it is super simple in a good way.
It has basic commands like TPA and sethome so you can visit people and not get lost all the time. That makes it easier to play with others and still explore on your own.
The community is still small and growing so you actually remember people and they remember you. It feels more like a group of players just chilling together instead of a giant crowded server.
There is basically only one rule and that is no cheating. So if you like the normal Minecraft experience without crazy mods and without hackers this kind of fits that idea.
The server launches on 15 January 2026 at 15 00 UTC so everyone is starting fresh together. It feels like it is meant to just be Minecraft the way it should be without extra stuff getting in the way.

Headrest SMP is a survival server where people like to build and also fight. It runs on a paper server and has some quality of life plugins so it feels smooth and not too crazy.
The server is all about a community that wants to be friends but also have wars and betrayals. You can make friends join fights and get into lore while still having a place to just chill.
There is PvP all over but spawn is a safe zone. At spawn people can build shops and hang out. Players talk using a simple voice chat mod so it feels more social.
They use plugins like no elytra during combat and combatlog so fights feel fair. There is also a sit command and other small features that just make things nicer.
The server runs on a dedicated machine with 20GB ram and a 5800x3d cpu so it is made to handle battles and a lot of players without lag.
If you want a tight knit group wars friendships and maybe some betrayals this server fits that style.

GOOMB SMP is a vanilla survival server in an amplified world. The map was reset about a month ago so the season is still really fresh and people are busy building new bases everywhere.
At the start the border was small so players had to base close together or share spots. Now the border expanded and there is a lot more room for different base plans and big projects. Everyone is getting ready for the End to open this weekend so people are preparing gear and thinking about all the loot they want to grab.
The community hangs out a lot on Discord. People post ads for their shops share cool screenshots of the crazy amplified terrain and talk about trades and deals. Voice chats are usually busy with players just talking and planning stuff together. It feels like a relaxed and social server.
The rules focus on respect and keeping things drama free. There is no racism no bigotry no hate speech and no NSFW stuff. You have to be mature use common sense and be nice to others. Griefing stealing and unconsented PvP are not allowed so your base and items should be safe.
To get in you apply first and the staff looks at your application. After you are accepted you can get on the whitelist and join the world. It feels like a protected chill place for people who want a long term amplified vanilla SMP.

BeeSMP is a new survival server that is opening this Friday at 6 PM EST. It is made for people who want to play for a long time and not just join and leave in one day.
The server is all about community and working together. You can build cool bases explore the world or just hang out and talk. Everyone is supposed to focus on collaboration and creativity so it feels more like a group project than a solo world.
The world is fresh so everyone starts at the same time. If you join on opening day you get to be there from the very beginning and grow with the server.

Gods and Gold is a modded Minecraft server that is all about politics culture consequence and fantasy but it still keeps the chaotic fun of Minecraft.
From what I saw the world is meant to last a long time so players can build deep lore with each other. Player actions matter and can influence the server. It is not focused on grinding all day and it does not try to be edgy like a lot of other politics servers.
You can create your own history and nation or you can join one of two staff made factions. These factions already have their own culture and NPCs so you can jump in fast if you do not feel like writing a big backstory. You can still climb the political ladder inside them.
Claims are tied to political titles and you can get those through economy military politics or civic paths. There are rules for succession abdication elections and even usurping. You can play noble ruthless or just efficient as long as you stay mature and remember it is just a game.
The economy is player run and the currency is renewable. There are a lot of money sinks like land upkeep tithes war costs buffs and cosmetics so the economy can boom or crash but it is still meant to stay fun.
