This is a small fantasy nations server where players build kingdoms and fight in wars. It mixes roleplay and pvp so you can talk in character then go straight into battles.
You can start your own kingdom or join an existing nation. You can also be a wandering trader or make a mercenary group and live off looting other players. You start from almost nothing and try to work your way up.
The world has a custom map with really nice terrain. The server is mostly vanilla but it has custom end game tools. There are plans for more RPG style stuff like custom mobs and custom loot so it should get even cooler over time.
The community feels solid and they have guidelines so there is no hate or toxic behavior. It is made for people who like both roleplay and combat and just want a chill place to play and explore.

MangoSMP is a pretty chill vanilla plus survival server. It feels like a normal Minecraft world but with some extra stuff that makes it easier to live in long term.
The main world never resets so you can build big bases without worrying they will get wiped. If you just want to gather materials there are resource worlds for that so the main world can stay nice.
There are land claims so people can protect their builds. There are player warps so you can move around to different spots players set up.
The server has a player economy with shops and an auction house. There are jobs and quests and orders so you always have something to do while you earn money.
PvP is not forced on you. There is a PvP toggle and also an arena. You can keep your inventory or choose to risk everything depending on how you like to play.
There is a spawner collection system called Divine Touch. There are also cosmetics crates and vote rewards for people who like collecting stuff.
The staff seems helpful and the community is pretty relaxed. The server is updated to the latest version as soon as the plugins allow it so it stays modern without breaking things.
It is meant to be a long term place with no pay to win and no surprise wipes so players can just chill and play survival for a long time.

This server is called TerraTrove SMP and it is a vanilla world for adults only. It is community focused and you have to be whitelisted to join. The server has been running since 2023 and they are starting Season 5 on January 24 2026.
The server is made for people who like Minecraft but do not have tons of time to grind all day. It feels cozy and safe so you can log in after work or school and just relax. You can build and explore and make a base without worrying about griefers or people speedrunning and ignoring everyone.
From what I can tell the server is properly moderated and they really try to keep it drama free. The whole idea is that players actually talk and get to know each other instead of hiding in solo megabases. They care a lot about community and collaboration and keeping the vibe friendly.
If you want a chill adult vanilla SMP with a long term world and a social feel TerraTrove seems like a good place to join.

This is a hardcore vanilla style SMP where death is a really big deal. If you die you are gone for good unless another player decides to save you. When you die your head stays where you fell. Someone else can pick it up and use a special revival shrine to bring you back if they want to spend the effort and tons of resources.
Because of that the server feels super social. You are safer if other people actually care if you stay alive. Alliances form and break and people remember who helped and who just walked away. There is no pay to win and no way to buy loot so what you do in game is what matters.
The world is almost infinite with a world border far away so you can wander off and live alone if you really want to. But trading heads and helping revive friends pulls everyone back together. The server runs Fabric so redstone and TNT duping and stuff like that works and people can build crazy machines and cannons.
The player base is still pretty small and growing so reputations form fast and your choices actually stick. The towns are half built the world is still fresh and it has not been griefed into a crater yet. If you want a place where early days matter and survival feels earned this server is worth checking out.

LegacyMC is a vanilla anarchy server that feels really raw and simple. When you join it is just survival with no rules and no limits. There are no land claims and no teleports so you are never really safe and you have to walk everywhere.
The server runs on dedicated hardware in Australia so it is mostly made for players in Australia and New Zealand who want good ping. There are no pay to win ranks and no shop and the owner says the server costs are already covered so they do not ask for donations.
Pvp is always on and griefing and raiding are totally allowed. There are no admins watching over you and no one will undo what happens. If you build a base and someone finds it they can blow it up or steal everything and it will just stay that way.
The world started in June 2025 and it is not planned to reset so everything you do can last for a long time. There is no whitelist so anyone can join and start playing right away. It is for players who want a long term world without resets ranks or admin control.
If you like building far away from spawn or just surviving in the middle of chaos this server is about that. Every action leaves a mark because nothing gets rolled back and there are no extra plugins changing the game.
