This server is called MinecraftOffline and it is all about lifesteal survival with PvP.
When you kill other players you gain hearts and when you die you lose hearts. If you lose all your hearts you get banned. New players get a one hour grace period so they do not lose hearts right away.
There are simple home and teleport commands so you can set a home and teleport to friends. You can send tpa requests and accept them which makes it easier to play together.
The server is really strict about combat logging. If you log out in a fight an NPC appears and other players can kill it and take your stuff. You also cannot use commands in PvP.
There is an in game store where you can spend vote tokens on custom name colors and custom MOTDs. The server also tracks your playtime kills and deaths and gives rewards at milestones.
They have some protection against crazy speed cheats and strong chat spam so it is not total chaos but it still feels like a rough competitive server.
Players can vote to skip the night by typing goodnight which is nice when nobody wants to fight monsters all night.

This server is a hardcore SMP with permanent deathban. When you die you are done and there are no revives. The world never resets so everything that happens stays in the history of the server.
PvP raiding and griefing are all allowed across a massive world. The map is 1 million by 1 million blocks so you can try to hide but you are never completely safe. Every step you take could be your last one.
The server is vanilla but it uses a few plugins that make hardcore more intense. There are player heads that drop. You can open dead players ender chests. There is Simple Voicechat support and advanced player stat tracking and some other stuff that keeps the experience focused on survival.
Over ten months more than fifteen thousand players have joined and around eight thousand have already died. People make bases and alliances and become legends but every legend can fall. All the events are unscripted and player led so the stories feel real with real friendships conflict and betrayal.
There is also a wiki made by players that records the server history. It even has a page that lists every player who joined lived and died. If you want a super hard challenge for you and your friends this server is built for that. Just remember if you mess up you are gone.

Waychest is a Minecraft world that feels like lots of little worlds linked together. When you join you start your own Journey with your friends. It looks like you are alone on your own server but actually everyone is in the same huge survival world.
The server is PvE and semi vanilla. It uses the normal Java 1.21.11 client but has custom stuff built just for this place. The focus is on exploring and building and slowly finding out that other people have been here before you.
As you travel you find special chests called Waychests. They give rewards and also point you toward other Journeys and builds people left behind. Later you can make your own Waychests so new players can discover your base too.
There is a flying minigame where you craft an Elytra and then fly through rings in the world. If you do it right it leads you to a Waychest from another player. There are also warps you can use for fast travel but you have to discover each warp point first before you can use it.
Overall it feels like a mix of a public server and a private realm. You get space to play with just your group but you can still bump into other players or their stuff while exploring the same big world.

Legends of Stonehaven is a new medieval fantasy RPG style Minecraft server that uses a big modpack focused on combat and adventure. It feels like an actual RPG where your character gets stronger over time and the world gets more dangerous as you go farther from spawn.
The combat is completely changed with new animations and a dodge mechanic so fights feel really active. There is a full skill tree and different origins so every player can build a unique play style. There are a lot of custom weapons armor trinkets bosses and divine blessings that are balanced around this pack.
The world generation is also different in the overworld nether and end so everything looks more like a fantasy world. There are tons of new dungeons and structures to explore and even five extra dimensions to discover. Enemies scale up in strength as you explore more so it stays challenging.
Magic is a big part of the server with two main magic mods that give you lots of utility in and out of combat. There are over 200 quests you can do alone or with friends and some of them add lore and story about the world. You can spend coins from quests in a quest shop to buy useful items.
The pack also tries to keep performance good with mods to help fps and loading times. There are some nice quality of life things like backpacks and storage systems so it is easier to manage your stuff and just enjoy playing.

This is a semi vanilla SMP that tries to feel like normal Minecraft but easier to live in. The world is pretty new and the server is in open beta so things can still change to match what the players want.
From what I saw the server has keepInventory on and you get unlimited homes with no teleport cooldown which is really nice for exploring and building lots of bases. There are some custom advancements custom titles nicknames with gradients and some fun stuff like Brewery and custom food and items but nothing that breaks the game.
The community wants to build history and lore with towns nations and big player bases. There are plans for spawn shops cities a pvp arena and a custom currency plus more community projects where anyone can suggest ideas and help on Discord.
