What is MCBall? Why is it unique?

MCBall, in its simplest description, is a completely custom Minecraft minigame that revolves around two teams, red and blue, trying to capture the other team’s flag and protect their own. The first to 3 captures wins the game, but it’s not that simple. Preventing you from capturing the enemy team’s flag is the entire enemy team armed with paintballs (snowballs) which kill on impact. When a person runs out of snowballs they must left click or press Q to reload. If a person dies he will respawn within 20 seconds at their team’s base. Also adding to gameplay mechanics arekits.

What are kits?

Kits are a large part of MCBall gameplay and add much variation and strategy. Any player can use one kit at a time and can select it by either /kit or clicking on the slimeball in their hotbar. Kits vary in what they do but they all influence playstyle and gameplay.Every kit has different killstreak effects at 3, 5 and 7 kills.

An example of a few kits are:

Sniper- Spawns with a rifle that can instantly kill a player being aimed at. Default of 30 second cooldown.

3 killstreak – Cooldown reduced to 20 seconds
5 KS – Cooldown is 15 seconds
7 KS – Cooldown is 10 seconds

Magneto- Can reflect paintballs back at attackers while reloading. Length of reflect depends on paintballs in inventory.

3 KS – You now gain the reflect effect when you return the flag. Lasts 3 seconds.
5 KS – You now gain the reflect effect when you pick up a flag.
7 KS – If you get hit by a snowball you will not die and your reflect will activate for 3 seconds. 30 seconds cooldown.

MCBall regularly hosts various competitions and tournaments and very much supports community involvement and participation in server development.We have just completed our 9th official tournament.     LegacyMC is a vanilla anarchy server that is all about raw survival with no rules. It is a true open world where players decide what happens next.

    There are no pay to win tricks and no gameplay changing plugins. There are no land claims and no teleporting. There is also no admin interference so what you build or destroy stays that way.

    The server started in June 2025 so it still feels like a place where you can make history. PvP is on and raiding and griefing are allowed. It is hosted on dedicated hardware in Australia for low ping in Australia and New Zealand. It is open to everyone with no whitelist and it is cost covered with no donation requests.

    UnstoppableSMP One Life Daily Hardcore

    I found a new Minecraft server called UnstoppableSMP and it is a hardcore style server where you only get one life per day. The owner said they might change it to one life every 12 hours later.

    It is meant to be more of a normal survival experience with lots to explore and no scripted stuff. The server just started so it is basically empty right now.

    It also supports cracked players and Bedrock players. The server is still in maintenance and it will be opened when the owner is ready.

    Toms3 Anarchy No Rules No Admins

    Toms3 is an anarchy server that is trying to be a small and fresh option instead of huge servers. It is inspired by 2b2t and Hisparquia and it came back with a brand new world after being closed before.

    The whole point is no admins and no rules. No bans and no shadowbans so you can do whatever you want. It is cracked and it uses a separate authentication server.

    Gameplay stays near vanilla with only a few changes for stability. There is no tpa and no home commands so travel matters. Chat also feels like the old anarchy style with greentext plus whisper and reply and ignore.

    There is a strict anti cheat like 2b2t and some movement stuff like Flight and ElytraFly and Timer is blocked. Modified clients are allowed though and they do not really care if you find bypasses.

    If you build a lot then printers work and Air Place works too. For pvp it mentions anchors and offhand crystals get heavily penalized. The server has two dupes listed which are item frame dupe and donkey dupe for 1.15.2.

    It is made to run long term and if it ever shuts down they say they will release a full world download. It started for Spanish speakers but it has been translated almost fully into english so more people can play.

    LumaMC Towny Survival With Jobs

    LumaMC is a survival server built around Towny so you can claim land by making a town and growing it over time. You can join other towns or nations too and build with people while making alliances.

    It has mcMMO so you can level up skills as you play. There are custom coded items with special abilities and there is a ranks system that gives different titles and abilities.

    The economy is player based so gathering and trading matters. You can also work Jobs to earn cash and try to climb ranks or just get rich.

    There are fishing competitions with custom fishing. There is an Artmap plugin so you can make map art. The world also has dynamic seasons and the time of day and weather sync to real life in the northern hemisphere.

    There is also a Hoarder plugin where you sell bulk items for extra cash. The top 4 players get rewarded at the end of each Hoarder event. The server says it has a big roadmap and they want player feedback.

    Aftermath SMP Hardcore Survival Raids And Wars

    I found Aftermath SMP and it is a hard survival server where stuff you do actually matters. It is built for people who want real danger with fighting and raiding and smart plays.

    Pvp is active and you can fight in most places outside the safe zones. Raiding is allowed so you can break in and take loot and outplay other players. They try to keep revenge fair so it is not just pointless base wipes and there are official wars where agreed groups can go full chaos.

    There are limited safe zones for community areas and shops. They also say no pay to win so nobody gets unfair advantages.

    Rules are strict on hacking like x ray and duping and unfair combat mods. No combat logging and no griefing just to ruin builds. Trash talk should stay in game and not get personal and they say they have strong anticheat and punish rule breakers hard.
